The ground-floor flat has superb views across the common and a shared courtyard for enjoying drinks in the sunshine. Sitting within a pretty building in mature gardens, the flat is sophisticated yet homely, with relaxed colours, unique artworks by well-known artists, and high-end fittings, and it’s step-free except for two steps to the entrance hall. Enjoy mealtimes at the dining table in the bay window of the elegant sitting/dining room with lovely views, then relax on the comfy sofas with the TV or a good film on; the kitchen has everything you need to cook delicious meals for evenings in. Have a good night’s sleep in the stylish double bedroom in relaxing colours, it has great storage for your holiday garb, there’s also a bathroom with a shower over the bath. Take your morning cuppa or evening tipple out to the shared courtyard to soak up the sun. Go out on walks from your front door to explore the town and visit the historic lighthouse. Head to the beach, there are two to choose from, the popular main beach is next to the Pier (less than 500 metres away) and the slightly wilder Denes beach, which is perfect for flying kites and surfing. Wander to the harbour (1 mile) where you can catch a ferry across the creek to Walberswick, home of crabbing. Go to a showing at the town’s independent cinema and stop for dinner at one of the excellent eateries on your way home. Gin lovers will enjoy visiting Adnams distillery, and everyone will be fascinated by the lifeboat museum.
