La Vista Fuji Kawaguchiko
Beautiful, spacious hotel with great view of Mt Fuji (when the sky is clear). The private onsens are great! Amenities are nice and plentiful. However, not many restaurant options nearby (if you don't choose to eat at the hotel's French restaurant).

Learn about a number of places to stay within a short drive from Kai's urban core, such as the Kofu Fujiya Hotel and Hotel Kaminoyu Onsen.
It's worth checking out the Ooike Hotel as well as the Fuji Lake Hotel. The Ooike Hotel is located only 20 miles (32 kilometers) outside of the middle of Kai. The Fuji Lake Hotel, can be found just 20 miles (33 kilometers) away. Other options include the Hanayagi No Sho Keizan and the Hotel Route-Inn Court Kofu Isawa.
Planning to journey a little further afield? Chubu boasts many attractions worth seeing. Discover Chubu's ruins and don't forget to enjoy the region's beaches, mountains and active volcanos. Popular pastimes in this particular part of Japan include snowboarding, skiing and cross-country skiing.
The closest places to spend the night in Kofu include Isawa Onsen and Showa. Isawa Onsen is 8 miles (13 kilometers) to the southeast of Kai, while Showa is 6 miles (10 kilometers) to the southeast.
