Eclipse Viewing

We had a great time. We came for the solar eclipse, and saw awesome wildflowers too. My wife enjoyed petting the donkey they have on site. This is great property with very considerate owners who live on site. We’ll be back!

Wonderful Cottage and Property

Cottage was perfect for our girls getaway. It was close enough to Fredericksburg for shopping and dining, yet far enough out for quiet. The cottage itself was exactly as pictured, clean, comfortable, well stocked, firm beds, hot shower, and wifi. Barb and Rich were very hospitable and respectful. 10 out of 10 would rent again.

Peaceful Setting

This little cottage on the prairie... peaceful, clean, and just what we needed. Getting to visit with the goats & donkey is really what made us book this place- animals always win out with us. Beautiful location, sweet hosts... wish it had an oven since we like to cook, but we made it work. Highly recommend for others to stay.

Great Cabin

I was very impressed with this cabin. It’s small but not too small. It was perfect for our group. The backyard views were awesome! Barb and her husband were kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The perfect place

This rental was absolutely perfect! From the beautiful cottage, peaceful property and hosts that treat you like family you can’t go wrong staying here. The cottage was better than the pictures showed. It tells the story of family that loves their home and wants to share it with those lucky enough stay here. We loved the hearing about all the animals on the property and bonus for me some are rescues, the adorable art work from the kids and a binder filled with their story. We loved our stay here and can’t wait to come back!

Outstanding - in every aspect

Beautiful and very comfortable cabin (small home really) located on a wonderful, peaceful and scenic property. The property owners are extremely accommodating and helpful, going the extra mile with many nice personal touches. We had a wonderful time, and we hope to return soon!

Mother’s Day trip

Peaceful visit

Our experience at the cottage exceeded my expectations. It was clean and safe and stocked with everything we needed. The owners gave suggestions about the area and took extra steps to make our stay special. After enjoying the hustle and bustle of Main Street, it was great to retreat to the comforts of this cottage in a beautiful setting.

Sisters Weekend Trip

We loved our stay at this beautiful cottage outside of Fredericksburg. Barb and Rich were the perfect hosts. The cottage was beautifully decorated, perfectly clean, very comfortable and well stocked with every convenience you can imagine. Barb was great at communicating with us before our arrival and had many wonderful suggestions for activities and places to eat during our stay. We really enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the mornings sipping our hot tea. Such beautiful views and sounds of nature. We loved visiting the goats each day too! Thank you Barb and Rich for the great hospitality. Your cottage is beautiful and we hope to be back to stay again!!

Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Weather was not the best the weekend we went, but this didn't stop us from having a great stay. Property owners were so sweet and thought of every little detail to make us feel welcomed. We had continental breakfast items stocked in our fridge, as well as bottled water, coffee + small snacks. Everything was perfectly clean. The cottage was adorable. Loved getting to feed the animals--the owners even brought us extra bread to feed!

Fantastic

Perfect country getaway

My sisters and I stayed at the cottage on bear creek for our first annual sisters getaway. We had the best time! Barb and Rich are the ultimate hosts. They provided all the sweet little extras that make a stay at a rental that much more comfortable and easy. The cottage is away from the hustle and bustle of the main town center but still close enough for an easy commute to wineries, restaurants, shops and more that you would want to experience. Barb and Rich’s cottage provided the perfect atmosphere for my sisters and I to get away and connect. We are looking forward to returning in the future.
