Clarion Inn Murfreesboro Old Fort Pkwy
"I had a terrible experience staying at the Clarion Hotel. The pictures online looked NOTHING like the actual property. Upon arrival, I honestly thought I had pulled up to a motel instead of a hotel. I will say the front desk clerk during check-in was very nice and friendly, which was probably the only positive part of the stay. About 30 minutes after getting into our room, a roach came crawling across the wall. I immediately called the front desk to notify them and asked if someone could spray the room or move us to another room. I was then told I would have to pay an upgrade fee to switch rooms… after finding a roach in the original room. That made absolutely no sense. I requested a refund, but they refused because I booked through a third party. After going back and forth with management over the phone, the manager finally agreed to refund everything except the taxes. Since it was graduation weekend and almost every hotel nearby was booked, we really had no choice but to stay. Eventually, they waived the upgrade fee and moved us to another room. The next morning we decided to check out the “free breakfast” before leaving, and it honestly looked terrible so we left without eating. To make matters worse, the pool and hot tub were dirty. My kids LOVE swimming, and even they looked at the water and said, “No Dad, I’m good.” Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I will NEVER stay here again. You have been warned."
