HYATT house Emeryville/San Francisco Bay Area
"I called and spoke to someone at the front desk at 10:45am the morning of my arrival to let them know that my flight would arrive late (close to 10:30pm), but that I was most certainly checking in. I was traveling for a work event and had mailed a box of materials ahead to meet me at the hotel. When ..."

"The Embassy Suites is literally the only place to stay in Marin. It's really nice, the breakfast is amazing, and they have all the other amenities. The rooms are nice and worth the money."

The Pickwick Hotel
"The room was dated. I had a couple of large visible cracks and holes in the walls and corners up to the ceiling. The room faced south which was a busy street. The traffic didn’t bother me but the 2am car stereo that passed through each night seemed like a regular path. The area of the through road between buildings was like an echo chamber that magnified the sound. For light sleepers, I cannot recommend. For heavy sleepers or people that stay out/ up past 3am this would not bother you. The WiFi worked. The elevators work. The room refrigerator is empty but spacious. Trader Joe’s is and Target are just a quick 5 minute walk for drinks or groceries. The hotel does have an ice machine. It is on floor M, which is attached to 2nd floor by stairs. The floor also has vending machines. I lost money. No reimbursement. Staff even walked past. I took the suggestion to add coins. I lost about one paper dollar and 6 quarters for $1.50 soda can. The machine takes credit cards payment but there were so many people nearby with computers and the tap area seemed loose, I was not comfortable trying. I had an experience with credit card identity theft which ended costing me more. I took my loss as a learning moment to just go to Target and buy a box of soda. Safe for solo travelers. Hotel is next to all transit and BART. Ideal location. The front door has a doorbell. The room key card opens the front door of the hotel and moves the elevator. All room electronics have timer/ sensor."
