Easily accessible from the interstate. Staff was had better knowledge of the area, unlike the last time we stayed there.

Would be nice to restock breakfast often, not much to eat 30 minutes before closing. Also fruit would be a nice addition.

Next time I will spend a little more for a better hotel. There was a musky drop tile ceiling in the bathroom, the ice machine was disgusting, spewing black chunks, the pool wasn't much larger than a Suburban.

Nice for the price

For the price this is a nice and comfortable hotel. The staff was friendly and cordeal. The continental breakfast had the usual selection plus the option to make biscuits and gravy or sausage (and egg) biscuits. The rooms was clean and the beds were comfortable. We only had two issues. The ac/heating unit occasionally made a cracking noise. And the water temperature for the shower caused issues. You either let it run for 15 minutes or take a cold shower. Then, if we had it turned to the hottest setting we would get hot water, but could not adjust down to warm as the slightest adjustment away from the hottest setting would cause the water to be cold again.

Miserable

We arrived 7-22, 5 pm and the temperature was in the low 90's. Checked in and went to our room. The air conditioner was off and the room was very hot. We went back to the front desk and asked if we could change rooms to one that the air conditioner was on and cool. We were told that the air conditioner was not turned on until the room was occupied. We had reservations guaranteed for late arrival so they were assured of being paid. It was near midnight before it cooled down enough to sleep. The room was large and it would have been comfortable had it not been so hot.

Allie, I am so sorry this happened to you and ruined what was otherwise a great stay for you. The woman that checked you in was new and this is most definitely not true and not how this situation should have been handled. I have scheduled a training class for my staff on how to properly handle issues like this in the future. Thank you for letting me know this was an issue.

Great place

We would stay here again. Great rates and room conditions. If heading to Peoria like us this was a quick 10 min drive to middle of town. Staff was good but the price location and conditions of room were top class

Disappointing Issues

Pros: Umm, can't think of anything other than it was next door to a cracker barrel.
Cons: Customer service! Pretend you are glad the customer is there, instead of interrupting your day.
Location: There are several restaurants in the area and many within walking distance. Cracker Barrell is immediately next door.
The hotel staff appeared less than happy that we had arrived. We were there 3 days and it always appeared we were bothering them that we were in the hotel. From the very first day the toilet would not flush properly and when we went down to report the problem there were no apologies, just handed my husband a plunger. When we checked out I told the desk clerk the toilet still was not working properly and she again did not apologize or show any concern at our inconvenience. The breakfast was so-so. The orange juice dispenser was either broke the whole 3 days we were there or they watered the juice down so that it was just a tinge of orange color to the water. There was a recliner in the room but someone had sat a hot iron on the chair and damaged the seat.
