Grubby carpets throughout, stained and soiled with anti-cockroach treatment. Shower head (in cramped shower room) dripped constantly making sleep difficult at night. Toilet blocked and overflowed. Told there was no one available/qualified to attend. Given plunger and towels to deal with it. Positive experience with breakfast - good variety/availability . Overall disappointing and expensive for what you get.

My group of three stayed from Wednesday to Sunday. Upon check-in on Wednesday, we informed the front desk that our room did not have enough pillows and that the room phone was completely out of order (the cord was severed). We were told a technician would be sent to fix the phone. Later that evening, after asking twice about the pillows, I returned to the front desk and was told they were out of pillows. At that time, we were again told someone would be sent to fix the phone. Unfortunately, no one ever came to repair it during our entire five-day stay. Additionally, the front desk associate seemed more focused on talking with a friend than assisting us. For the nearly $2,000 we spent, we expected a much nicer experience. The room door felt flimsy, appeared damaged, and was noticeably dirty throughout the whole room. Overall, this stay did not meet expectations, and we are unlikely to stay here again.

An expensive stay in NYC ~$600/night. The room was ok. Television entertainment was extremely limited. Bathroom was the size of a small closet and was freezing (no heat in that area of the room) the hallway was poorly kept (very dusty). It looked like it has not been dusted or vacuumed ever! The breakfast was ok and the staff were very customer oriented. The location; however is unbeaten. Not sure I would return.

This is the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. We showed up to check in and they informed us that they overbooked and no longer had a room for 3 available. They suggested we cancel and find somewhere else to stay with no offer of assistance. It was the hotel’s fault, they over booked, and it became our problem. We were then 2 hours late to the event we were here to attend because we had to find a new place to stay. I am appalled by this hotel and will never stay at a Wyndham again. Horrible customer service!

The location is very good. The hotel is quite old, but clean. The only elevator was sometimes broken. The room is so small that there is no place for chairs. There is no single hook even in the bathroom. Service is ok, but a couple of times they made beds with too small sheets, that doesn’t cover the blanket. The breakfast is eatable but very poor, every day the same, I hardly found anything to eat

Not too bad if you don’t need heat, or if you don’t mind the resident rat scratching around the wall at night. Bring your own wifi hotspot because two of the rooms they moved us into did not have wifi. Ours had really good wifi but the tv did not work. Oh well, a sleeping bag on the street would do just as well.

Room was tiny, with no view. Even worse, no heat. Needed a space heater. Staff was friendly and helpful, except for a woman who put the air conditioner on 86 and left. Maintenance man unplugged air conditioner and gave me space heater. Breakfast was good. Excellent location, next to Central Park and 10-minute walk to Beacon Theater. 15 minutes to Madison Square Garden via subway.

The hotel's location on the west side of Central Park is very good. But I had two major problems during my two night stay in early December: 1) No heat in the room, none! I had to use my overcoat for an extra blanket. The promised portable heater never arrived. 2) a non-working elevator. Fortunately I was only up 3 floors, but others had greater walkups with their luggage. I saw two stranded ladies in wheel chairs waiting hours in the lobby. I don't know how they fared. The front desk staff tried to help, but the support staff were inadequate. I will say the hot breakfast was very good.

I'm sorry to say that my family were disappointed. We knew that we were not staying in a premium hotel, but the room was cramped and uncomfortable. Breakfast was adequate, but not great, and the breakfast room was like a sauna. A great location, but we will not stay here again.
