Hotel is pretty rundown and the room was pretty dirty. Curtains stains, bathroom visibly worn and dirty. Didn’t feel comfortable putting my bare feet on the floor and I’m definitely no germaphobe. The guy who checked us in was nice and helpful though. Everyone spoke some English, so It was easy to navigate things. Both dinner and breakfast were good values.

This property appears much nicer online. The rooms were not clean. The staff did not offer any advice upon check in and were not friendly. On the plus side, the breakfast buffets were extravagant and delicious.

dirty and uncomfortable

Pros: nothing
Cons: clean the dead sea area and stop giving fun day passes
First of all I was very disappointed by my experience there. The dead sea section of the hotel is nasty, its so dirty with garbage everywhere. I took someone who has never been to Israel and I wanted to show them a good experience and this was the first thing they saw. The hotel itself is nice but when we went to go to the pool to relax they seemed to have a "fun day pass" that was given to people that were not staying at the hotel. The hotel pool was FULL and loud and terrible. Just an overall bad experience for paying over 300 dollars I would expect a much better environment, it really was not a good start to our vacation.

The Dead Sea area of the hotel was dirty with garbage. It belongs to the hotel so you would expect it to be clean. They also did some kind of "fun day" which people just paid money for the day and we're not guests at the hotel. This resulted in no parking and an over crowded experience. The breakfast was nice but we were very early so it was nice and quite. Overall bad experience

Stay away from this hotel

Pros: My parents enjoyed the spa. I feared they would give me the same treatment as the pool store so I stayed away
Cons: Every aspect of the guest experience, major remodeling, and better value for the money
Travelocity policy prohibits me from mentioning price but let me assure you I paid 5x more than the value of the room. A severely run down facade, cigarette butts at the kids pool area, severe shortage in parking (we parked at a nearby hotel), pool store will sell you things that are prohibited at the pool and laugh if you try to return it; hotel management will claim they are not responsible because it is a independent vendor. The A/C was broken down at the bowling alley (85 degrees F) and it is poorly maintained so most lanes malfunction constantly; check your bill: they tried to double charge us for spa treatments; We were charged $120/night for an extra 2 people (total of 4) and got a tiny room with a pull-up sofa (which was broken so they had to bring in two beds) and a twin size bed. It was like a coffin with a built in obstacle course. Hotel's only recourse to my experience was a free 1-day pool pass for the family. And why would I want to endure that?!!

One of the best parts of Israel

Pros: Close restaurants
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the hotel was nice. It was only a short walk to the dead sea and they had pretty nice sulfur pools within the hotel. The only thing that really bothered me was the price of the friday night holiday dinner. It was something like 60 usd per person for this average buffet. Neither of us really liked what they had in the buffet and we hardly ate anything. An overall complaint that I have, not just about this hotel, is booking stays through online travel sites. What I mean is, if I pay for a room with breakfast included, most of the time the hotel will tell me that i didnt pay for breakfast. I always end up fighting with hotels every time I go away. Even when I show them what I paid for from my receipt from these websites, they still fight with me. And a lot of these places are 4-5 star hotels. Anyway, I had this situation with the friday night meal which was supposed to be included. I had to waste a half hour to get reimbursed for it, and its not a situation i like being in. Nonetheless, I would recommend staying here. We had a good time.

Surprised

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were, how comfortable the king bed was and the personal service I received from the day manager Peter. If you're in Redding for a night or two I would recommend this hotel. Rooms have WiFi, microwaves, small fridge and a nice tv. Rooms very clean. Staff very friendly and on top if it.

poor hotel for price

The room we stayed in had two double beds which were extremely uncomfortable, the carpet was worn and torn in various places, near the doors in particular. There was so much furniture in the tiny room it was difficult to move around. We were on the end of the building on a very busy industrial street so room was noisy. Although they had pay per view movies, they weren't billed to your room, but instead had a machine in the room to slide your credit card through. There was no way to pause the movie once started. No eating establishments within walking distance.
