Front desk was efficient but not super warm or welcoming. Room and balcony was clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Housekeeping was very efficient. Nespresso machine was a plus. We would book another stay.

"Wonderful place. Only negative comments: the bathroom sliding door is extremely heavy and the small bar of soap for the bathroom sink gets very sticky. After the first use it clings to the tray so fiercely it’s hard to use. A liquid soap dispenser is sorely needed. They have a lotion dispenser by the sink but not a soap one. "

"This property seems slightly abandoned and not at all to the level of a Sheraton, while the staff present did a great job, it was seriously understaffed. Also their computer system does not integrate with hotels.com reservations so we had issues at check in. Food in the restaurant was very good though and they had a great wine selection m. The atmosphere is definitely lacking though. For 200 bucks though , overall it was with it. Just weird. If you stay you will understand."

The check in process took almost two hours because they overbooked and the only room they had available was a king bed for four adults. They tried calling nearby hotels but according to the Meritage staff the hotels were booked. However, when I called the other properties there had rooms available. That’s when Meritage miraculously had a two queen available. Also shuttle services to downtown Napa is advertised but the driver is not always there so you will have to take an uber. We asked for water and the staff said there is water in the room, when we didn’t even have a room. This was highly disappointing, we came to celebrate my sister’s birthday but spent the afternoon in the lobby. I would’ve understood if the hotel communicated that they overbooked even an hour before we arrived to Napa but even there were no such texts/emails."
