Bad Check In process

The biggest issue was the check in and room key. First the lady who check us in insisted that I only have 1 room booked. I showed our bookings confirmation from hotels.com 2x with all our information and she said she just new and haven’t work with a hotel that uses hotels.com. I don’t what happened after 20mins and a long line behind she finally found our second room. Next issue was our room badges. We keep loosing access even if we just used. Going to the front desk multiple times. Finally we told the a friendly cleaning lady about heard about our situation. And she’s told that you shouldn’t put it next to your phone or credit card. Errr Imagine the lady in front desk cared to tell us in the beginning or after 2nd time we ask to reactivate then we could have save some annoyance throughout our trip. No ice machine working. Bed felt cozy, Free breakfast was good, and pool vibes were good.

Had regular towel service but not maid cleanings. But stay was awesome from pool to regular. We chose this weekend for a birthday trip and I didn’t realize the DJ would be at the pool all day. So if your going over a holiday make sure to ask for a room farther away unless your their to party lol. Cause it’ll keep you up. But we loved it.

Looks can be deceiving. The lobby area is great and pretty. Get out to the pool the day beds and lounge chairs are stained and not taken care of. The ice machines didn’t work in the buildings. The only ice machine working and available was at the pool. The rooms were dirty. Could use updating. The bathtub drain was black and gross. The tile in the bathroom was broken. The curtains had brown stains. The towels and sheets in the room were stained with brown spots. It was a cheap dirty place to sleep.

I’m confused about the ratings for this property being so high, because the place was so dirty. The hallways smell bad, the carpets are stained. My curtains in the room and the tables had stains all over. I was only there for a night and didn’t explore the property, but the room was gross for what you pay.

We always stay at the Saguaro—-it’s our favorite spot, but this previous stay was horrible. The AC wasn’t cooling the room much and there was no cable connection.

A Motel

A Motel With Makeup: The carpet had stains everywhere, and our sink pipe broke and water leaked all over the bathroom floor and the only help we got was a handful of towels from the staff. This venue has the right idea but they don’t put much effort in keeping the rooms nice. The restaurant El Jefe has a great staff and good food, but the room itself should be around $80 a night.
