Listen, this is a hostel with motel-like rooms, so be prepared for international travelers, drinking with other guests over games of pool, maybe even an amateur comedy show. If you’re into those sorts of things on your travels, this is an outstanding choice.

I did not like anything about this property. It is close to Melrose which is a nice neighborhood but this being only 2 blocks away, I was scared. The rooms have no chain or deadbolt and I was terrified someone would break into the room. The man who checked me in was so rude that he almost made me cry. The only good thing I can say about this dump is I did not get bedbugs and the cleaning people were nice. I would rather sleep in a car at a rest stop then stay at this place again.

This place is great for location and generally safe and secure. The only MAJOR drawback is that it STINKS for weed. You can't escape the smell. It gets in your room and is nauseating.

I got a private room and I felt pretty safe everyone staying at the place were very nice. I will definitely be staying again next time I visit the city, love the easy access to areas like the Grove, sunset strip, and Canters deli just a 5 min walk away.
