We were given one option which was a room at the far end corner of the first floor in the absence of an elevator to the second floor. Tarzana Inn is located right next to a busy gas station and windows facing south, face the gas station which has bright lights all night and a lot of noise. the drape DID NOT CLOSE (by design) so we we forced to have intense light from the neighboring station inside our room. On top of it all, one of the gas station employees took his break in his car parked right next to our window and he chose at 2 AM to play loud rap music! I went to the front office night manager/staff and asked him to give us another room, and he refused. So, our stay here was a nightmare and we got more tired after driving 6.5 hours from the Bay Area. I recommend going to a more decent Inn and avoiding this poorly located, poorly operated, and managed so-called Inn.

Loved that this was a boutique hotel with not too many rooms. No microwave in the room. Tap water had a bad taste for coffee maker. I had to buy bottled water and I was put off a bit by the security doors in the lobby which appeared to be required 24 hours. Maybe the Tarzana isn't a safe community to stay in. There was an I-Hop within walking distance but it really didn't open before 630am even though doors opened at 6am.

No electricity no refund
So the power was out all night and day. I asked for a refund and the guy at the front desk snapped at me. Super rude. Gave me his magers card and said to call him. Phone number doesnt work. I dont get why i would have to pay full price and not use ANYTHING that requires electricity. At least comp me another night or even a partial refund. Not even a courtesy check up if we are ok or a heads up txt message letting us know the problem nothing.

Slept fantastic for 5 days! Comfortable beds! Everything was very clean except the floors. Our socks were dirty on the bottom.
