Ever wonder if you’re getting your money’s worth at an all-inclusive resort? It’s a question many people struggle with as they’re planning their next getaway. We’ve partnered with smart luxury travel expert Dr. Cacinda Maloney from PointsandTravel to help us find an all-inclusive hotel in Los Cabos where the value is as great as the view!

The Grand Fiesta Americana in Los Cabos

I discovered an amazing world of contrasts in Los Cabos, Mexico, where the dusty desert meets the silvery Sea of Cortez. At the Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos, an all-inclusive golf and spa resort, I couldn’t help but marvel at the spectacular views from my private balcony with the Sea of Cortez staring back at me. Seriously, there was a moment when I had to pinch myself to even believe the view was real!

I arrived in the mid-morning to a bustling lobby, which at first glance seemed like a fairly typical hotel. But in an instant, I was greeted with huge smiles from friendly staff members offering me refreshments and a cooling cloth. My first impression could not have been more off base! The incredible level of service was anything but typical, and it just kept getting better.

The knowledge of the staff, the quality of the food, the pride of the chefs and bartenders, as well as the shows, music, and offerings — it all continued to exceed my expectations day after day. Plus, I had one of the best massages I have ever had, but more on that later!

What does this all-inclusive include?

There is nothing more liberating that knowing you can do whatever you want without worrying about the price while you’re on vacation. Come along with me as I explore the Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos’ All-Inclusive Resort.

Accommodations

With over 249 rooms and suites, you will have plenty of choices, whether you’re on a family getaway, a friend weekend, or a romantic vacation. Every room faces the beach, and this hotel is fortunate in that they actually have beach-front property that is swimmable, unlike a lot of other locations here in Los Cabos. This is due to the rough waters of the Pacific Ocean crashing into the Sea of Cortez.

Food and Drink

The Grand Fiesta Americana offers dining options that will take you on a culinary journey through the regions of Mexico. They have breakfast buffet spreads, lunches to knock your socks off, and dinners that are outstanding. You will also be impressed with the subtle details and the diversity of the flavors, the aromas, and the freshness that emerge throughout your stay. They have 12 on-site restaurants, so you will never have to go to the same place twice … unless you want to! There are many choices, from casual poolside grills to a fancier Italian or Asian-style restaurant.

And they can even make you a personalized drink, just ask the bartender!

Some might think they’d become bored at an all-inclusive hotel. But believe me, there is no time to get bored!

Activities

There’s plenty to do at the Grand Fiesta Americana, with a calendar of cultural, artistic, and recreational activities available all day long. During my stay, I was able to see a spectacular samba dance show, as well as live music at night. You can also take advantage of a variety of activities in the sea or on land: snorkeling, fishing, diving, tennis, horseback riding, or motorcycling.

Pool

The pool area is beautiful, and there’s a dedicated “Adults only” pool in the resort. The larger main pool is an infinity edge pool with a beautiful view of the ocean. It also has a shallow area perfect for the kiddos. With six swimming pools, four spa tubs, and cabanas around the pools and on the beach, there is plenty of room even when the resort gets crowded.

They also have a nighttime bonfire on the beach where I experienced their amazing Merlot wine spa and foot massage with merlot foot cream. We began by stomping our own grapes in a wine barrel, then laid down on chaise lounges while the massage therapists washed, cleansed, and massaged our feet. Which leads me to…

Spa Services

There is a SOMMA WineSPA, the only spa in Los Cabos and Mexico that uses the benefits of wine in its treatments, and actually the only Wine spa I have ever seen! As with most all-inclusive resorts, spa treatments are an additional charge.

Workout Facilities

You can also get a workout at the modern and well-equipped gym. They even have Kinesis equipment for those who need to work on range of motion.

Golf

Perfect your golf swing at the nearby Jack Nicklaus Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol, listed as one of the top 100 golf courses outside the USA. The Grand Fiesta Americana also ranks in the top 10 on Golf Digest magazine’s list of the “Top 50 Best Golf Hotels in the World.” You can also have access to the Cabo del Sol Desert Course, known as one of the best courses in Mexico. Golf is an additional charge.
