Eric Stoen of Travel Babbo has traveled to more 80 countries and stayed in a lot of hotels. We asked him which hotels had views so amazing that he would book a return trip just to gaze out again. Here are his 25 favorites from six continents.
Prague, Czechia: The Aria Hotel

Our room at Aria Hotel Prague looked out on the Vtrba Garden. Stunning!
Tanzania: Serengeti Pioneer Camp

Sunrise from the Serengeti Pioneer Camp
Bangkok, Thailand: The Peninsula

The view from practically every room at the Peninsula Bangkok
Maldives: Six Senses Laamu

Relaxing on the deck of our overwater villa at Six Senses Laamu
Barcelona, Spain: Hotel DO Plaça Reial

My balcony at the Hotel DO Plaça Reial. The square comes alive at night.
Punta Islita, Costa Rica: Hotel Punta Islita

Sunset from Costa Rica’s Hotel Punta Islita
Basha, Guizhou, China: Gufengzhai Guest House

From our room at the Gufengzhai Guest House in Basha. You pretty much need to walk in to book it, or work through a tour operator.
Venice, Italy: Hotel Al Ponte Antico

Overlooking the Grand Canal in Venice from Hotel Al Ponte Antico. The Rialto Bridge is right behind you.
San Francisco, California: Loews Regency San Francisco

Sunrise from the Loews Regency San Francisco
Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada: Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

From our room at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Definitely opt for the lake view!
Ubud, Bali, Indonesia: Chedi Club Tanah Gajah

Looking out at Mount Batur from our villa’s plunge pool at Chedi Club Tanah Gajah
Oia, Santorini, Greece: Golden Sunset Villas

We’ve stayed at three different places in and near Oia, all with amazing views. The view from our room at Golden Sunset Villas was just a little better than the others – take the standard sunset view and add a church and a windmill!
El Nido, Palawan, Philippines: Miniloc Island Resort

Sunrise from our bungalow at Miniloc Island Resort
Atacama Desert, Chile: Tierra Atacama

I absolutely loved afternoons by the pool at Tierra Atacama, watching the setting sun light up the Licancabur volcano and the Andes
New York, New York: Hotel Giraffe

In New York it’s easy to end up with a view of an alley or the side of another building just feet away, so I always appreciate when I have a view. I have a couple of favorites along Park Avenue, but Hotel Giraffe gets the nod because of the balconies.
Bora Bora, French Polynesia: Four Seasons Bora Bora

The view is gorgeous from everywhere at Four Seasons Bora Bora, but it’s worth paying a little extra for a view of Mount Otemanu
Cartagena, Colombia: Casa Pestagua

We loved the view from the rooftop pool at Cartagena’s Casa Pestagua, right in the middle of the old town. From the other direction you’re looking out over the Caribbean.
Mumbai, India: Taj Mahal Palace

Looking out at the Gateway of India from my room at Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace. Choose a sea view!
Paris, France: Cler Hotel

Wherever you stay in Paris, ask for a view of the Eiffel Tower! This is from our room at the Cler Hotel on Rue Cler in the 7th arrondissement.
Sydney, Australia: Shangri-La Hotel Sydney

I love looking out at Sydney’s Harbour Bridge and Opera House. This is from our room at the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney.
Patagonia, Chile: Tierra Patagonia

Every room at Tierra Patagonia overlooks Torres del Paine, as do the restaurant (on the left) and this open-air seating area
Florence, Italy: Antica Torre di Via Tornabuoni 1

We’ve stayed at Florence’s Antica Torre di Via Tornabuoni 1 six times now for the location, the rooms and the views of the Duomo in one direction and the Arno and Ponte Vecchio (pictured) in the other direction
Orlando, Florida: Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort

You can see Disney’s parks from the Four Seasons Orlando, and the nightly fireworks display at Walt Disney World, but the view is primarily of nature – a nice escape after a day at theme parks!
Muscat, Oman: Al Bustan Palace

The view is excellent in all directions at the Al Bustan Palace. Go for a sea view though!
Belize: Blancaneaux Lodge

We checked in to Blancaneaux Lodge late at night and could hear flowing water, but had no idea how amazing the tree-top view was until the next morning!
How about you? What’s your favorite hotel view? I’m always looking for inspiration for future trips!

You Filipinos are so lucky! You have almost 8,000 beautiful islands to explore and each one has its own unique beauty to offer. I can’t wait to visit them all!
I find it very interesting how much Filipinos have embraced Korean culture, especially our music and fashion. I always enjoy watching YouTube videos of Pinoy dancers doing their cover of KPop groups
