"This is a fairly good alternative for a single or couple who doesn’t look for luxury. It is a bare bones property. The pros: it’s in a location with two useful Metro lines close by, and is on a fairly inactive short street between two busy neighborhoods. There are ample bistros and restaurants with real Parisians rather than tourists. The cons: the ad implies that they speak English, but I had to rely on my high school French; the housekeeping is poor, only coming after you return from a day of sightseeing, then only making the bed but never changing the sheets; the breakfast is mid, and served in a tiny room that becomes claustrophobic with several guests eating at once. For a lower priced property it’s fine. For tourists who want a level of service and luxury, they might be disappointed."

"This hotel is so convenient to the Gare de Lyon that it may be forgiven for being a little in need of updating. That said, the old fashioned fittings and fixtures have a certain Parisian charm, and everything was clean and functioning. Also, the bed was very comfortable. What else could you want in this price bracket?"

"We just stayed here for one night as we arrived at the gare de Lyon and headed to the airport early the next morning but the location was great (maybe a bit gritty because of proximity to train station but great for our family) and service was very helpful. A smooth visit and I would definitely return for a longer visit. Close to everything."
