"Firstly bring your own pillows. They do not offer standard size pillows, just 16 inch x 16 inch throw pillows on a king size bed. Second, they will absolutely just place towels on the floor back on the rails and pretend they're new. I put a washcloth on the floor for them to replace because it had a stain and looked dirty, and it was back hanging in the bathroom. Same stained spot. So yes, they wanted me to use a washcloth that had been on the floor. Thirdly, I found a live roach in the bathroom. Gross. And this was just the room itself. The breakfast was inedible, the elevator constantly reeked of weed and BO, and there was a new person at the desk every time I went by it and they were ALL watching TV on their phones and barely acknowledged me. I could have been anyone walking into that hotel. The only positive I can give the place is it was cheap."

"GREAT job on renovations for this older building! Excellent room with all my needs met; WAY better than I expected at such an affordable price. Based on just THAT, I would've given it 5 stars. However, there was one big hiccup with check-in, though I'm hoping it isn't a "usual" occurrence. I arrived at 6:50, way past the 3PM check-in stated on my Hotels.com confirmation & the hotel's website. I was told my room wouldn't be ready for another hour because someone from housekeeping was late to work that day, causing ALL room preparations to fall behind schedule. Fine; no problem. I grabbed dinner & came back. No room yet. Two hours...no room. By the third hour, the desk manager starts cancelling reservations of people who haven't arrived yet. I'm not sure who owns &/or manages the property day-to-day, but I should think they'd have a better back-up plan when someone doesn't show up to work on time. I finally got into my room shortly after 10 PM. The ONE housekeeping person - who was hustling to do everything himself - apologized profusely as he completed mopping the floor & backed out of my room. I can't be mad at the staff that WAS there because of their colleague's lack of responsibility. I hate to think of the negative reviews this hotel will receive due to the fallout from one person pulling a no-show for work."
