Nice place overall. Unfortunately there was urine in the toilet upon check in, but the room was clean. The main negative is DO NOT agree to the presentation they call about a few days before. The timeshare representatives call you, offer you to come in for a presentation, and offer to give you a 75$ gift card (+ a 50$ marriott gift card). I agreed for the giftcard with no intention on buying anything . I had a time for 2pm on Friday. My family and I rushed out of Colonial Williamsburg to make this meeting. My wife and my young kids went back to the room to take a nap. When I arrived, I was turned away and made to give them back the gift card because apparently my wife had to be there too! I explained my wife was in the room sleeping with my kids- which didnt matter. It was an infuriating moment and a total waste of time for me and my family.

Have stayed at this property for a number of years. Always consistent quality, hospitality, and amenities. Very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg. Current construction of 37 new townhomes is not as intrusive as we thought it may be. This is our first stay in the last 6 years and we were surprised by the new parking fee of $20/day+tax. If that was disclosed in advance, it was not clear on Trivago when we made our reservation. Hidden costs diminish customer satisfaction for what has been a superior experience in the past. Current staff as always are very courteous, welcoming, and helpful. Fitness center is well equipped. Clean, comfortable unit met all of our needs.

Walking down hall- some lady screaming inside going on and on- two occasions- another time very loud other guests- sounded very low class- then above us each night could hear people literally running…clearly not attracting the best clientele. Pillows too soft- very dated- fridge dirty - housekeeping mediocre. Soaps mounted way too high and towels above toilet gross. The good: -great water pressure, nothing broken.

This could be a very good choice for you with a few caveats that hurt its rating. The property is gorgeous and there are many things to do at the resort-like atmosphere: pool, golf, tennis courts, gym. HOWEVER, there are some other things to consider. We were surprised by several hidden charges. They charge $20 per day for parking, which seems unnecessary in a secluded area where space is definitely not at a premium. Even more galling, they charge for maid service, even though you have very much booked a hotel room. I was told it was $30 merely to bring fresh towels and pick up old ones (a full clean is $70). In the humid VA summer climate our towels did not fully dry even with the AC on full blast. Our family is happy to clean up after themselves and we certainly don't need replacement sheets for a few days stay, but there are definitely limitations to staying in a hotel...thus regular room cleaning visits! You won't find any of this on the informational sheet they print out for you at check-in so it feels very scammy, as a la carte cleaning fees are very much not the norm. These hidden charges forced me to dock the rating, as they are under management control. What is not under their control is the location: it's 20-ish minutes from Williamsburg and Busch Gardens, which might be inconvenient for some. If not, and you don't mind the additional costs of staying there, it's a great property.
