"Stayed here for 2 nights in June 26. Hotel is in need of renovation and I can imagine in the past this was a very nice place. The downstairs areas are decent, the bar and reception nice. However we feel a little robbed with the family room we booked at a cost of £265 (after discounts I found online). No view, extremely old furniture, carpets and decor and the bathroom ancient. The good things were the shower was very decent (good pressure), the beds whilst old at least comfortable and the pillows nice. Location is excellent but I do feel this place is pricey and living on past glory. Wouldn't stay here again sadly."
