Fantastic Freya’s

We had a fantastic stay at Freya’s Retreat! The home was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. One of the highlights was the hot tub—it was the perfect place to unwind on the cool, rainy nights that unfortunately lasted the entirety of our stay. The peaceful surroundings made it even more enjoyable.One note for future guests: we highly recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle for the gravel road leading up to the property, as it is steep and rutted. With that in mind, it’s absolutely worth the trek! We would definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying again in the future.

Relaxing Getaway

Would recommend Freyas Retreat to family and friends. Cabin was beautiful, nice hot tub and loved the fire pit. Nice getaway with the family or just you and your spouse. Highly recommend stopping by Miguel’s Pizza and La Cabana Mexican restaurant only about 4 miles away from the Cabin

Amazing!

This place is beautiful, on top of a mountain, just gorgeous! Had a blip with check in, the door code didn’t work, and a beeping fire alarm..All was fixed on Christmas Day and the day after! Just an amazing space to breath and take in all the peace!

All was great! Has a beautiful view of the trees from the deck! Would recommend 4 wheel drive vehicle since it has a steep climb to get to the property. Would definitely visit again!

Great Trip to the Gorge!!

Loved this property. Modern style in beautiful and perfectly remote surroundings. The layout & bedrooms were perfect for my family of 5 with plenty of space for sleeping, lounging and activities. Quick and easy drive to all the amazing places the Gorge has to offer and simply a perfect place to come home to after a long day on the trails!

Beautiful home

Although we didn’t have power, the house itself was beautiful. I would have liked to be able to enjoy the fireplaces and the hot tub and cooking in the kitchen but we arrived just after a storm had went through the area, leaving it without power. The terrain to the property was not ideal so I highly recommend an SUV or truck. Communication at the beginning of our stay was not very good but I appreciate a staff member reaching out our second night to see if we could be moved to a property with power. We chose to stay where we were and planned accordingly.

Bengal game

My boys and I traveled to Cincinnati for the Bengals game. Patrick’s place was exactly what we needed. The space felt secluded, but it was only a few blocks from the stadium. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the city.

Dirty bedding access code to enter was wrong

During our stay at Freya Retreat there were several issues. First when we arrived we could not access our unit after trying all entry points and the code we were sent multiple times I reach out to this number and was given what I would assume was the previous code to who stayed. Upon entering the cabin, we went to check the bedroom and found soiled bedding with what appeared to be body fluids on the comforter and mud spots on the sheets and bed skirt. I messaged this number and left a message after waiting for a reply. Over an hour later we were informed that should be clean replacements in the closet, but as we had already checked during that time there was not. At this point it was offered to send housekeeping but it was late and we were extremely tired from the drive to what we had hoped to be a peaceful and relaxing weekend. We checked the bedding on the bedroom downstairs and chose to use this room instead of the one with the view which was the reason we chose this unit. Then the next morning we were surprised unexpectedly by house keeping dropping by sometime after 10am with no notice. This was extremely awkward since we weren't expecting anyone to come by nor had we been notified. They did leave clean sheets and a blanket and offered to come back at a more convenient time to put them on. This experience with Stayover has been one of the worst weekends we have ever had. Red River Gorge is a place we go to have a peaceful and relaxing weekend. One of the things we expect

Summer Get Away

The property is stunning, nestled on the side of a mountain, so be prepared for an uphill drive. The hot tub was perfect and comfortable, and the kitchen is well-equipped with all the essentials. However, only a charcoal grill is available, and I would have preferred a gas one. While the property was mostly clean, the cleanliness could have been improved; I found some empty shampoo bottles in the bathroom. Additionally, the door code didn't work upon arrival, but the property management promptly provided a new code.Other than that, I would totally recommend this property. The sunset set and rise was absolutely stunning from the deck!I would go back for sure.

Perfect place!

Super nice newer home! Lots of extras included with the stay including plenty of pillows and blankets and just nice little things such as salt and pepper and a keurig. And just about any dish, pot, pan or cup you would need! We would return no doubt!
