great location, shame about the place

first impressions were great. great location and new-ish place that i got for a good price (probably because there was construction next door and the jack hammering was included in the price at no extra charge) i was on the main floor so i didn't get a very nice balcony. the unit hadn't been thoroughly cleaned when i arrived. but it was the fact that there were major problems within the unit: the kitchen element, the coffee maker, the a/c remote. of course, the front desk is FIRST to tell you that they have NOTHING to do with anything inside the unit. i finally got the front desk to notify the mgmt of the unit after the kitchen element wouldn't turn off. Carlos from management stopped by, fixed some things and made promises for others but then quickly disappeared never to be heard from again. the CLINCHER was when there were partiers above me. this DID fall under the jurisdiction of the front desk, but in true cowardly fashion did NOTHING about it. i got to enjoy whooping and hollering and the raining down of cigarette butts on my balcony until 5 am. nice pool, shame about the gym.
