"We had a beautiful room and the staff was friendly. This was our most expensive room during our week on the Big Island, which was fine because the ad promised an airport shuttle and breakfast. Unfortunately, we got neither because they did not accommodate our 6am flight and we did not get our value from this stay. We ended up paying an additional $50 on top of the expensive room in order to extend our rental car another day."

"It's a little old apartment that's been cleverly well-appointed for guests, with several huge mirrors adding to a sense of spaciousness. The kitchen is small but has everything you need to cook a simple meal: a one-burner hotplate, a microwave, some kind of big toaster oven, a blender, utensils, big fridge and freezer.... With the Hilo farmer's market, the KTA supermarket and a natural food store all a one-minute walk away, we were inspired to do some cooking even though there are so many good restaurants within easy walking distance too. Everything worked. The host was very responsive. This was our second stay here and we hope to return to this, our Hilo home!"

"No A/C in the room. No elevator for a three story hotel. This hotel is very old and has a lot of homeless in the area. the room was clean and we did have a nice view. you hear the jet planes because you have to open the windows to keep the place cool. Nothing is really walking distance for food or shopping. Recommend Ken's pancake house for good local grinds! (3rd floor facing the pool)"
