Beautiful and tucked away

Our stay at Thunder Ridge was incredible! The property was very spacious and easily accommodated our group of ten, providing plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. Everything was clean upon arrival, and we appreciated how well-stocked the kitchen was with cookware, dishes, and extra essentials that made our stay even more comfortable.The views were breathtaking, especially from the hot tub, where we could take in the mountain scenery. The secluded location made it feel like a true retreat, offering the perfect balance of relaxation and privacy. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with amazing views and all the comforts of home, Thunder Ridge is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

Sleeps 10 comfortably, great quiet peaceful getaway

House was clean and had plenty of amenities for 10 guests such as towels, beds/ pillows, parking spots and kitchen utensils. Quiet secluded property with awesome Mountain View’s.

Lots of space!

Overall we had a great stay at Thunder Ridge. There was a lot of space for 7 of us and we loved the layout of the house. It was clean and had everything we needed. Only reason we wouldn't give 5 stars is that there were a few lights and tvs that weren't working properly, and the road was in VERY rough shape. It felt like maybe the house just needed a little bit more TLC.

Perfect Getaway

If you are looking to enjoy some quality time with friends/family, this place is excellent! We stayed for a weekend bachelor/bachelorette party with 14 people. Beautiful views, near trails (check out the falls near by), plenty of things to do while there, even for those who don’t ski! We played pong, pool, karaoked, enjoyed the hot tub even spent some time near the fire. All in all a great place to book!

Great spot for the entire family

The house offered everything it said it did and more. Working with Vacasa was a great experience, I had a few questions when first arriving which they got in touch with me in a very timely manner. House has great hot tub, game room and area in kitchen and living room which our large group gathered for meals and drinks. View was amazing. We had a good amount of snow and they did an amazing job with blowing. We hope to get back soon.

New Years Eve Ski Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed this property! We had family and a few friends stay for a ski week between Christmas and New Year's. Mother Nature didn't really cooperate in terms of the skiing, but the location was great as there was plenty of room for folks to spread out to read, do jigsaw puzzles, paint or play pool and ping pong in the basement. My son even played the piano spontaneously a few times! The beds and pillows are super comfortable which is a big factor in our enjoyment in a place so we were happy about that. We also enjoyed the hot tub on some gray and misty days! The living room furniture was a bit worn but super comfy and cozy around a nice gas fire. The only thoughts for improvement I might share with the owners is that the kitchen pots/pans are quite bad. The non-stick pans are so scraped up that the coating is peeling off -- which is both unhealthy as well as ineffective. There are some areas that need painting that look like they were patched and haven't been finished so it would be nice if those little touches were painted given the price point. A few more kid sized glasses would be lovely -- but there were plenty of wine/ martini glasses and coffee mugs! ;-). But those were very minor points and didn't interfere with our enjoyment of our vacation at all. We would definitely stay there again!

The pictures of this rental were nothing like what i was shown, it was unsafe for my children, I contacted the Vacasa company and nobody got back to me about any of the conditions I walked into and I even sent them photos showing I how horrible and deceiving the rental was.

Perfect property

This house was fantastic! We are used to staying slopeside but this house made it worth it to not be slopeside. An Amazing kitchen, living area loved that we could all be together and plenty of room for reverse charades!

Outstanding House - as advertised !

This was a fantastic vacation house. We came in July and enjoyed all of the amenities in the home and the very private lot with beautiful views. We highly recommend this home. Clean. Spacious. Outstanding views!

Fall foliage trip

Property looked exactly as advertised in photos, really great. The view from the deck and dining area was even better than expected. The mattress on at least one bed was a bit caved in, and the futon was in pretty rough shape, but that wasn't a big problem for us. Everything else was great.

Great location but needs a little work

Property was as advertised with a great location, beautiful views, and plenty of room for 15 adults and kids. The problem was with the maintenance of the property. Loaded the dishwasher and got up the next morning to water on the floor. Guess we should have noticed the flooring in front of the dishwasher had been replaced. Took out the dishes and found mold on the silverware rack and side of dishwasher (maybe a drainage problem). The master bathroom tub was also a problem. First time we tried to use the shower the faucet handle would just spin around, no water. We contacted Vacasa (property manager) and got a response in 24 hours, but the house instructions had no valid contact numbers. We did talk to the cleaning lady and she said they were aware of the problems and thought they were waiting on parts. Would have been nice to know ahead of time and been better prepared. The property would have rated 5 stars if we hadn't run into these issues. I would recommend that you verify the house has been fixed before booking, but it looks like a great location for fall foliage and winter skiing. We'd definitely recommend it for summer activities. Nice getaway

Myself, and group of friends book a house every year. So far this house has been one of our favorites! Breath taking views, the hot tub is a bonus, pretty secluded, and ample space for everyone (Group of 15). We also love that the kitchen was fully stocked w/ cooking supplies. (We do a lot of cooking!). Would definitely book again.

This house was just what we were looking for to accommodate our group (three families) for a week long ski trip at Sunday River. It is in a good location (close to town and ski mountain) had a great layout with ample space for us, and a lot of nice amenities like a hot tub, game room, and full kitchen. Unfortunately, there were several hiccups throughout our stay that make it very difficult to give this property a high rating. I have reached out to Vacasa in an attempt to address the issues we had during our stay - both during our stay and after check-out, and I am extremely frustrated that Vacasa does not seem interested in resolving my complaints. I was directed to the local property manager by Vacasa's general customer service representative. However, despite several attempts to reach local property management at Vacasa Maine, I have not received a response to my calls/messages. The issues we encountered: the property was not available at check-in time (cleaning service still on property), the cleaning staff was in the house without any masks/face coverings, the cleaning service was not thorough (high touch points in kitchen very obviously not wiped clean and floors sticky), drug paraphernalia and a pack of what appeared to be an illicit substance were found in a bathroom drawer, a lack of salt/sand to spread on a very icy driveway and parking area, and a power outage that left us without heat or running water for 2 nights.
