The room had no air conditioning while my wife stayed there last year during a heat wave. Coffee at $12 per cup--who are you kidding? The bathroom decor and lighting were hanging with dust. That room needed cleaning and painted surfaces needed repair and paint.

Have stayed at the Park Lane many times; this was the first since renovations. As a solo traveler the night club feel of the roof top bar wasn’t for me, but the first and second floor restaurants are still great. The staff in the second floor restaurant and the front desk were wonderful. Renovations aren’t worth the price increase. Can’t beat the location - the park, subway, theater district, great restaurants all just outside the door.

No temperature control

The hotel had no air conditioning. The room was overheated at 75F. We called down and they said that they can’t do anything as the boilers were still running. They gave us 2 fans for the room. The beds and pillows were also not comfortable. We would never stay there again.
