Our room was really nice. The bathroom and shower updated and shower had great water pressure. Staff was friendly. Love the walkability of this property to the Universal Studios park!

Property was a 11 minute walk to Universal but Hotel also had shuttle every hour not able to walk to any local eateries but city walk was a 11 minute walk with lots of restaurants ( even Buca Di Beppo )

Overall the hotel is good. One of two hotels close to the Universal. The room itself is getting dated and the dust in the non obvious places is accumulating, the shower also backs up. The restaurant food is very good, and the Starbucks is bigger and better than the other hotel. Staff here is very nice. Overall a good experience, but the rooms need to be cleaner and upgraded a little.

I stayed at the King suite and it’s fairly bus enough for 4. The layout is great and huge windows from top to floor. Very bight and I like to sleep with the drapes open to enjoy the moon each night. Bathroom is small and the shower didn’t drain fats enough. Hotel restaurant, California Kitchen serves tasty food. Coffee bar makes excellent lattes. Love the grand lobby. Bedding are worn out. Mattress is so soft like a sponge that causes my back pain worsening. A day before I checked out, I called them to have my room clean, to take out the trash, and stock up hair shampoo/ conditioner, body wash and towels but no one came to my room to do the job. My family came back after 9 pm and nothing was stocked up and cleaned. Charging over $500 per night and this was what I get.

I did enjoy my stay but what I love about this hotel is the bar. The bartenders are really friendly, however there was one that stick out the most and is Francis C. The drinks he made was incredible mostly the espresso martini had a great balance of alcohol and coffee. It was not over powered by alcohol, nor bitter coffee just perfect. Also, the paloma was so delicious that it felt dangerous because you didn’t taste the alcohol and not super sweet.

We appreciated the extra bedding for the sleeper, unasked. We found the bed so much more comfortable however. All else was all we needed. The Take and Go where you ring up your own snacks from the cold shelves is a great customer service, especially when the lines are long. The CityWalk to Universal Theme Park is only one of many benefits to staying.
