A great place on Goat Island. You'll need a boat to access it, although the Marina is only about 100 yards across the intercoastal. We rented a boat from the Marina and this is very much a boat and water-centric vacation spot. There's not a lot to do on the island itself. There's one small dirt road about 2 miles long that you can walk and jog on. The dock is great. The house is good. It may not be the perfect spot for everyone, but it was wonderful for us with 6 kids, ages 7-16. They got off their flatpads and got a lot of outdoor experience, fishing, cornhole, boating to Shem's Creek and visiting Charleston. Crab trap on the dock, lots of great restaurants nearby, etc... I definitely recommend it, but just be sure this is the kind of adventure you want. The circuit breaker, for example, popped a few times on the shower heater (which is easy to reset), the house (which is cool) is very slightly askew due to being on stilts in the soil, and we had to switch to the rain water reserve, which the property management company did a good job of coming over and helping us with. Point is - there are some quirks and it's more for adventurous people seeking an outdoor and memorable experience. Great property and clean house. Highly recommended if this is what you're looking for.
