Our family made wonderful memories in IOP! Michele welcomed us and was a gracious host. The location was perfect with an easy walk to the ocean. The house was beautiful with plenty of space for a family to relax after a day at the beach. We all enjoyed the pool and beautiful gardens. We would definitely book this lovely property again.

Beautiful home with personal touches

Our family rents in Isle of Palms at least once, if not twice, a year. This year, we stayed in the gorgeous home 'Admirals Roost' during the first week of July 2023. Michele warmly greeted us at the house to show us around + teach us about the elevator. What a personal touch!! She clearly cares very much about this property. The house was sparkling clean with lovely, comfortable décor. All of the bedrooms were comfortable but the 2 primary bedrooms ensuites were absolutely incredible & huge! It is a very easy walk to the beach but we spent the majority of our time at the pool. A bonus was that we could clearly see the IOP fireworks from the balcony! Michele has really thought of all the little details to help make for a great vacation. Highlights include: • 3 refrigerators plus a heavy-duty ice maker • 2 oversized coolers for storing drinks • Ample lounge chairs & tables by the pool • Nighttime lights around the pool for relaxing ambiance • New bathroom by the pool was very convenient • Laundry lines to hang wet towels in the garage & out of the weather elements • Outdoor hammock in the shaded area • Stunning, tropical landscaping! • Michele and the property manager were both available via text to handle very minor issues immediately The entire week the prevailing sentiment was “this is the most beautiful home we’ve ever rented!” We are so grateful for our memorable week. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Whole family loved this house.

Our family (8 adults, 1 teen, 1 kid, and 1 toddler) absolutely loved this house. I asked everyone's opinion before I submitted this review and these were some of the quotes - "the house was the best we've had and had everything we needed" "everything we could hope for - refrigerator on each floor...ice maker...poolside bathroom...tons of kitchen gadgets/dishes...elevator - Truly 5 stars!" "best house we've had, IMO" "lots of emphasis on the details" "beautiful landscaping and succulent gardens made it even more special" "great job of stocking the house with amenities...left very helpful instructions/info about the house...very clean...earned a 5 star rating" These quotes sum up our stay very well - there wasn't one person (adult or child) who wasn't thrilled with the house/host/location. Communication with the host was outstanding and the care she took in making the house perfect for us (right down to celebrating a special event) was much appreciated. Location was great, leaving us with only a short walk to the beach, and easy access to everything else. For a large family that enjoys time together (large kitchen, family room, dinner table) and space of their own (very private bedrooms) to rejuvenate for the next adventure, this house can't be beat.

Renters beware take the insurance

Process began smoothly, they home was very nice, a bit dated and beat up for the price point but in a fantastic area. Property manager was helpful the first day. We walked the property and she pointed out many items that were damaged cabinets, flooring, refrigerator, cooktop. Was a bit surprised be we enjoyed our stay anyway. We were told trash would be picked up twice and someone would respond and take out cans, trash was left from previous renters and no one ever responded so the cans overflowed and smelled. Worst part at the conclusion of our trip I was contacted and told I would be responsible for paying for scratches to the floor. Property manager even admitted to many of the scratches being old damage but felt like there was a few new ones and we would be responsible for repairing the entire area. Photos were provided and the areas that had damage were clearly faded and old. Lesson learned take pictures of everything prior to taking possession of the rental or foot the bill for someone else’s issues. Was a shame because we loved the area and had a great time.

Lovely Home

This is a beautiful property that has everything you might need and plenty of space for a big group. We cooked most nights and found the kitchen to be well stocked. We enjoyed the pool and it would have been perfect with a bathroom on that level.

5 star house & location

My wife & I, our 4 children (ages 2 to 20) along with our friends & their two teenagers visited over the 4th of July week. The house layout is fantastic with plenty of common space for everyone to congregate together yet if you want your own space you can certainly find it. The bedrooms & bathrooms are all spacious and well furnished. The pool area was very nice & the pool was the perfect size. There is a grill in the pool area which we used frequently throughout the week. The location to the beach is excellent, maybe a block and a half walk, & the beach access is directly in front of you when you reach Palm Blvd. We rented golf carts (IOP Golf Carts), bicycles (Carolina Beach & Bike), & a corn hole set (Beach & Games to Go) & everything was waiting for us when we arrived. Although there is a pack n' play at the house we rented a crib from Charleston's Baby's Away, it too was set up and ready for us when we arrived. The house is managed by Sheryl Bidwell & she was amazing. Sheryl was very responsive to questions prior to arrival & was available throughout our stay. Sheryl meets you at the house for check in, goes over everything in the house, & is generally just a very nice person. She even took time on Sunday evening (of the 4th of July weekend) to stop by the house & help us figure out something with the grill (it was user error). She was always pleasant and helpful, thank you Sheryl! We would not hesitate to book this house again for future stays at IOP!

Roomy with well stocked kitchen, wonderful pool to hang around, just a short walk to beach. All the amenities one would ever need for a beach vacation. Oh, and a short 20 minute drive to venture into Charleston.

Great Beach House

The house is very spacious giving us plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for the 9 people in our family. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, 2 coffee makers, etc. All the appliances including the washer and dryer worked fine. The AC system worked great and we were comfortable in all the rooms. The beds were fine and the bed linens and towels, etc. were of good quality. The pool was very nice and was very clean. The location of the house is good with only a short walk to the beach. My only recommendation to the owner would be to change the TV controls in the Great Room. The remote which controls the TV, cable box, sound system and other components is very complicated and takes a day or two of use to figure out. I don’t mind those sorts of challenges but some guests would be very frustrated with the setup. We have rented homes near the beach for years in Hilton Head, Pawleys Island, and various places in Florida, and this home was one of the best! It was clean and we liked it very much.

Simply Awesome

Everything about this house was great, great space, great owner, great location and had everything there that anyone could ever need for a beach trip. We had 12 people and the house never felt crowded, even when we were all together for dinner. The house has everything you would need to have a great trip with so much stuff for the kitchen we were always finding a new pot or pan to use. The location was awesome, short walk to the beach access and made it easy if you ever left anything to run back to the house without feeling like it was going to take up valuable time. The beach location there is awesome, was never crowded as it is closer to town. The owner is awesome. Any question we had (and we didn’t have many since everything was great and the check-in book was self explanatory) she was on it and went over and above. This house is definitely on our list as a favorite and wouldn’t hesitate to book it again if it’s available.

Spacious and Special

It is a wonderful house with a ton of space and a very short walk to the beach. The WiFi works in every corner, the pool is a godsend for families, and the kitchen has every single thing you could possibly imagine needing during your vacation. It was just so nice to have enough seating to relax together and to eat dinner as one big family, something that we've always found hard to do at other properties that we've rented.

Beautiful home

Overall we had a great experience. The home was very clean when we arrived. The yard is beautiful you can tell the home owner loves gardening. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of seating. The surround sound was a bit confusing but was a great feature! You are very close to a beach access point (30) and they have an old wagon to help lug beach chairs down. Here are some things owner should consider: couches, the armrests were visibly dirty- maybe have arm covers that can be washed between stays. The oven didn’t work great, consider new appliances. We found a few palmetto bugs but thankfully owner sent terminex out ASAP, but having to stay at the house to wait was a damper in my stay. The pool attendant I do not believe came because the pool was consistently dirty.

Come because of the house. Come back because of the management.

This is a very large and well equipped home with high end furnishings and a 5 minute walk to the beach. In my opinion, it is very reasonably priced considering the size and location. The bedrooms are all roomy with nicely appointed bathrooms. The kitchen is open to the living area and adjacent to a huge ocean-side, covered porch. The pool is also large and there is ample poolside seating. However, none of that would've mattered for our group if not for the excellent property management provided by Sheryl Bidwell and SRB Properties. When we arrived for our stay in late July, it was immediately noticeable that the 3rd floor was not cooling off. We checked in on a Saturday and Sheryl began working on a solution on Sunday. First, Sheryl purchased and personally delivered several fans to give us some relief until a repair technician could arrive on Monday. Second, Sheryl purchased, delivered and personally installed two portable air conditioning units which made a big difference in the bedrooms. Finally, Sheryl personally oversaw the servicing of the 3rd floor unit which required a recharge before finally beginning to cool down the 3rd floor. We had no issues for the remainder of our stay, but it would have been a disaster if not for Sheryl's commitment to getting it fixed. I will prioritize SRB Properties' listings for future bookings and if I owned a property in SRB's service area I would surely list it with Sheryl.
