Great spot to adventure

We have been come to Hiawassee/lake chatuge for many years, this villa is located perfectly for any adventure in the area. We brought our boat and utilized the included boat slip which was a plus for us. If you don’t have your own boat one can be rented just next door at Young Harris Boat and jet ski rental. Condo was nicely decorated and very clean upon our arrival.

Great place!

The townhome was an awesome destination for us and having the boat slip to use was great for a long Memorial Day weekend. Very convenient to the surrounding areas. I would highly recommend and will be staying again. CJ was very quick to answer my questions and offer assistance the few times I needed her.

Wonderful week together

We look forward to our week in Hiawassee all year and this year was no exception. This beautiful home was spacious with plenty of space for our family of five. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony every morning, we prepared wonderful meals in the kitchen, and enjoyed hours of fun with the games in the garage. The swings at the lakefront was the perfect place to read a book and take in the breathtaking view.

This is our 2nd time staying at Cathy Jo and we enjoyed each time.

We fished, BBQ'D( which there is an amazing pavilion wiith a fireplace, fans to keep cool) ate at the local restaurants for breakfast(Mary and Paradise Bar and Grill) both have amazing breakfast. We even had great interactions with neighbors at the community, they were very nice and provided lots information about the area. This place is conveniently located on the lake with lots of things to do nearby.

Hiawassee

The property was very clean and well decorated. The location was centrally located close to the Georgia Mountain Fair grounds, which was great with the fall festival going on. The only downside was the road noise from Hwy 76 which was so loud that you couldn't sit on the deck overlooking the lake and hold a conversation. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay.

Nice Location

Our stay at Sunset Bay Condo #504 in Hiawassee, GA was just wonderful! The condo was very spacious and clean, beds were very comfy, plenty of extra pillows and blankets, A/C worked very well, water pressure in the showers was very good, kitchen was pretty well stocked (we added a few things from the local thrift store,) the ping pong table, dart board and cornhole game in the garage area was a nice bonus. We loved the decor of the condo too, very "woodsy" and cozy! Conveniently located to the grocery store and also the marina for getting gas for the boat. The covered boat slip was very nice, especially for the couple of rainy afternoons. Also liked that entry into the condo was a keypad versus a key (no key to possibly lose!) The property is next to a busy road, but all of the bedrooms have ceiling fans and "white noise" machines to lessen the road noise. Travelers should also know that the condo has two sets of stairs that require you to go up and down with all of your luggage and miscellaneous items. We appreciated the extra exercise of the stairs and the reward of the 3rd floor view was definitely worth it, but this might be difficult for others. Cathy Jo was great about answering all of our questions in a timely manner! Overall we highly recommend the condos at Sunset Bay!

Location with a View

With the location over looking Lake Chatuge; in the middle of town; close to Helen; and in walking distance of the boat rental. This was perfect for our family. Will definitely recommend and look forward to returning.

Beautiful condo in the mountains on a huge Lake!

Great place. 1st floor is a garage to store all your lake toys and park your car. There is also a ping pong table, corn hole, and 🎯 dart board in the basement. Also, There was a tube and ski rope. 2nd floor has 1 bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. Fireplace not working. Alexa was nice for music and kitchen timers. Nice Kitchen with plenty of plates, cups, bowels but not many servings dishes. 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms, master bath has a huge jetted tub😊. There is laundry room, great to do swim stuff daily!😎 bring laundry soap. At night you can hear highway traffic but it did not affect our sleep! Beds are comfortable! Very nice boat slip about 100 yard walk. You can rent a boat at Young Harris Water Sports which is right beside the condo complex. The lake is huge and we had a great time tubing, skiing and swimming!! There are a lot stairs in the condo and there is a 100 yard walk to the beach/ boat dock with stairs. Easy check in. Quick easy communication with manager! Super sweet!

Subperb

The town home was subperb. Waking up to the sunrise and overlooking the lake was what my family and I enjoyed. The house was clean, comfy, and in a nice quiet location. My hubby and I rented the home to enjoy some fishing. He wanted to be directly on lake so that he could just jump out of bed and head to the lake. But unfortunately the weather was not so great as it was too cold. But the home and the surrounding areas made up for it. We did try to do a little fishing on the last day as the weather warmed up and I caught a nice size bass. We cannot wait to book again. The owner Cathy was very helpful, welcoming, and available when we needed information. My family will be a repeat guest with Cathy. Thanks again Cathy for the hospitality.

Long Weekend Away

My young adult kids and I wanted to get away for a long weekend to get some hiking in. The townhouse was in a great location for us to hit some trials and relax when finished for the day. Check in and process was smooth with no issues. Host was great about communicating the process and informing of local eateries. Would stay again if in the area.
