This is a great hotel for families. The rooms are quiet and the beds are comfortable. Very relaxing to sit on the balcony at the end of the day after walking through Gatlinburg shops.

This property is about a block away from the parkway. Several restaurants that are very walkable. Alternative exits so you don't have to get caught in the parkway traffic. The road is located at light 6. Anakeesta is at the corner and the Aquarium is just 2 blocks away. The exterior is older but still nice enough. The room was updated with laminate flooring which I prefer. We had housekeeping service everyday with fresh towels and emptied garbage which is all we want. We would without a doubt stay again. The price is extremely fair and affordable.

Check-in and staff were fine. The area is convenient to retail, etc. The major problem we had was the extreme smell of industrial cleaners and solvents in our room. It took an hour or more with all doors and windows open to clear the air enough to sleep. Horrible headaches as a result. The room did not smell clean... instead it made our eyes water and reeked of industrial grade liquid cleaner. Would not recommend this property.

The Howard Johnson in Gatlinburg is unbeatable for the price.The maids were very helpful, nice, and respectful. Super close walking distance to all the attractions in Downtown Gatlingburg and less than 5 minite drive from the National Park. Everyting in the room was up to standards, very clean, good water pressure. spacious and comfortable overall. Also all the cable and streaming channels one could ask for. The only negatives were that the mattresses were a bit hard and uneven. Also, some of the guests were a bit unruly in other rooms at night time, but not at all a reflection of the hotel quality itself. Would stay again and highly recommend to others.

The staff is very irresponsible. The rooms are dirty and have sticky floors. The bedsheets were all hairy. The staff offered to change the sheets but we were there at midnight and were ready to sleep with 2 toddlers. So we denied the service and decided to vacate the next morning. No hot breakfast.

Location, Location, Location! Right Choice!

Why is eco friendliness a part of the star system? That's stupid. Regardless. The hotel was perfect as usual. The renovated rooms were very nice. The pool was extremely clean. The staff were very nice. I've been going here since I was a young kid. This is probably my 10th or 15th stay at this hotel. It's the first time we have stayed under it's new name. We will come back.

Hidden gem, close to everything.

We always stay here when we come to Gatlinburg. They had a water line burst and that caused the water to go out, twice, but they handled it promptly. We will definitely stay again.

Absolutely the coldest air conditioner and mini fridge ever. The hotel is older but our room was somewhat remodeled. It was two blocks off of the strip, so very convenient.
