Overall very impressed by the property. You have access to all 3 properties and many many pools including adults only rooftop , 24hr room service although very limited :/. It’s overall a well maintenance and modern property overall. Good options very above average and staff was beyond helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone

This is our first time booking an all inclusive vacation. The Hotel Marina El CID did not disappoint, the staff were very friendly especially Sergio at IL De France and the place was very clean. Although the smell of the seaweed was strong, resort staff were doing their best to mitigate the problem by raking the seaweed daily. We stayed in the Ventus Ha which was great, there was 2 double beds and a Murphy bed so each girl had their own bed. We came during low season so the pools were not packed and staff was very attentive refilling your drinks. There were daily activities & different nightly entertainment. The specialty restaurants were delicious especially IL De France, we ended dining there twice during our stay. Since it was low season, we had no issues booking specialty dining for every night of our stay. The main buffet had a different theme each night which was great. The only down side was the 60 minute presentation, it was over 2 hours in reality. On our arrival day they quoted us the Mayan Ruins all day tour was a fabulous deal at $122/person US, we put down a $40 deposit and had to listen to their presentation. The next day we tried to cancel the tour because $122 US was expensive, they gave it to us for $50 US per person aslong as we listened to the presentation. When we went to the presentation, they then told us we were quoted wrong and the price actually changed to $57 but they’d honour the $50 US price. The resort should offer free wifi for everyone.

Amazing property, many pools, clean, great service, polite and smily staff. Unfortunately 2 out of the 10 days, they had power outages resulting in no air conditioning, no elevator and intermittent water in the rooms, lobby and restaurants. Front desk upgraded us from Marina to Ventus on the 5th days, and it was fantastic after. Miguel (Manager of the Italian restaurant Trattoria D´Gulio) was exceptional...he really made our 20th anniversary memorable. Himself and his staff. Truly appreciate it!

Everything is good and amazing but the one thing I didn’t like is you only get 2 WiFi codes person. So if you’re going with a your family of 4 then only 2 person can use the WiFi. Also you cannot change the device the WiFi is on.

I booked this hotel and was placed in an adjacent property because I would not pay $300 usd upgrade to stay on the main property. I was allowed only two devices on WiFi and was told any additional devices would be $60 per device. This was extremely disappointing and inconvenient since I travelled with my family. I was informed of credits I had and showing interest was told I had to assist to a 2 hour meeting for basically a timeshare. I refused the meeting and was told I wasn’t allowed to use the credits since I didn’t want to attend the meeting. All of this made the experience very unpleasant. Unless you are ready to dish out extra money for things that are supposed to be part of your stay, I would not recommend this place. Also there is no real beach area at all.

It was an excellent spot for families. There were several pools some quiet and one main activities type pool they offered amazing activities for all ages I did yoga in the beach, Zumba and water aerobics. Tons of activities for the kiddos. Rooms were very clean. Staff were amazing!!! Everyone was friendly and they are always available to help. No Spanish? No problem lots of staff speak English. The food options were really good. The buffet has many options even for picky kids. We got free room service with all inclusive. Mike the concierge is the man!!! He will help you with anything you need. He is very knowledgeable and made a great impression. Edgar who works with booking activities is the only person in that entire hotel that is antisocial and totally in the wrong field of work. Make sure you get EVERY detail about the extra money needed when traveling off site to activities. You have to pay taxes when you get to the places even though you paid to take the trip at the hotel. You need to ask questions because they will not tell you. We had some issues and paid for a cab one day to get home from an activity because we weren’t given all the details. I would recommend it for families or for girls/boys trips.

The area smells sooo bad 24/7 from the outside and some of the rooms too! Like we need to switch rooms twice!

Front desk staff changed us to a different hotel property. No AC for 2 days due to power issue. Towel station frequently out of clean pool towels. Staff never apologized for any inconvenience they caused, other than the ones who tried to sell us tours or spa packages. This is the fourth time we have been to Cancun and will never come back to this resort!

We had no electricity for the 1st 2 days of our trip. Very limited food options could not get into any restaurant and rude bartenders. I felt very unsafe with this property with no power and I did nothing to help when we were traveling kids. We were on the top floor so no elevator. It was a hot mess and I will never go back to this place.
