"The rooms are old and in need of an update. We only had nets at the window, no curtains to stop the morning light. One of the bedside lights was not working. The website advertised at evening restaurant, this is now no longer open."

"Pleasant campsite helpful English speaking reception staff. Pool was very busy so didn't use it. Nearest village was shut for food as it was a Sunday but bar on site did buffet style hot and cold food only here for 1 night so it served it's purpose. "Beautiful hotel. Eco Friendly, Swimming pool, spa and steam room for guests. I also had a massage which was well priced and a decent massage. Restaurant on premise is very nice . Only a short walk to the sites and short uphill stroll back but everything with in 20 mins walk and so peaceful and relaxing. Right next to the Roman ruins. Great part of town . 8 min walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. 30 mins down to river. I would stay here again. Great spot"

"We had a lovely experience at La Phenix Hotel. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was spectacular with a view of the Rhone and a fireplace. It was in a fabulous location in the old part of the city. I would definitely stay here again next visit to Lyon."
