"This is a fun oldschool motel in really good shape. The office does close at 10pm so late checkins are harder but overall we liked staying here. Its not that close to the Sand Dune but then again not much is. It was about a 40 min drive but perfect stop for us coming from Arizona."

Also could hardly see the river. Expected a Resturant on the grounds, but no. Could smell sewage inside and outside. Did not like the coffee pot experience. You had to heat water in the pot, pour it over a paper filter with coffee grounds, and wait for it to drain down into a coffee cup. Then only one filter left (2 supplied) to make the second cup. My wife had her coffee dranked before mine was ready. They should provide a 10 or 12 cup coffee maker to allow us time to sit outside by fireplace while listening to the river we could hardly see. Definitely not worth the price when you can stay at a nice hotel with all the perks, tv and breakfast!"
