Casa Sereno is a bright and modern vacation home in Akumal, in the heart of the Riviera Maya. Akumal is more laid back that it's more 'festive' neighbors – Playa Del Carmen to the north and Tulum to the south – but you can choose the right combination of relaxation and activity that suits you. We're close to the beach, outdoor adventures, Mexican and Mayan culture sites, cenotes, fishing, PGA golf course, and Akumal Dive shop for all of your snorkeling and scuba needs. It is a truly unforgettable experience and we're excited to share it with you!

The space

Casa Sereno is located in Tao Santamar, built in 2022 so it has tons of modern conveniences and high-end finishes. It's surrounded by lush vegetation of the Mayan jungle, and just across the street from the Caribbean Sea.

This fun and modern condo is great for a relaxing getaway or an adventurous retreat. The main floor living space is 1000 square feet and the upstairs penthouse patio is 600 square feet. It comfortably accommodates up to six guests, and has high speed internet throughout, including the penthouse patio, so everyone can be as connected as you want to be. The floor to ceiling glass doors offers tons of natural light, and every evening you can watch the sunset over breathtaking views of the jungle.

THINGS NEARBY

Akumal Sur beach is an easy five-minute walk and has nice restaurants as well as places to swim, get beach massages, rent kayaks/stand up paddleboards and set up fishing excursions. May to December it's a nesting ground for turtles, you may see some mamas and babies if you walk in the evenings. Akumal Beach town is a 10-minute drive and has great restaurants, a dive center for scuba and snorkeling, a lovely day spa, a yoga studio offering classes daily, convenient general store, and small shops to buy gifts. Akumal Pueblo has many local 'mom and pop' restaurants and is home to the highest concentration of street art in the world. You'll see many amazing murals that are repainted each year during the Akumal Arts Festival in January. The Akumal Monkey Sanctuary is located here as well. The Tulum Country Club 10 minutes away if you're interested in golfing at a PGA course!

RENTAL AGREEMENT

We utilize a rental agreement to make sure your visit is set up for success; it must be signed and returned for the reservation to be considered confirmed. We also require a $500 security deposit credit hold, which will be returned within 7 days if no excessive cleaning or damage occurs.

Week long stay

We stayed here for a week with our family of 6 and Had a fantastic time. The unit is beautiful, as are the grounds and surroundings. We particularly enjoyed having easy access to nearby beaches and a variety of pools, and absolutely loved having our own rooftop patio to enjoy in the evenings. There is lots to do and see in the area and this was great spot to relax at the end of the day. Thank you!
