"We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. I requested in advance access to a microwave due to a special diet for my son with a disability and was initially told there would be an additional fee—$15 + tax per night! After I pushed back via Expedia, with reception, and then the manager, the fee was ultimately waived. While I appreciate that, it was very disappointing that a basic disability-related accommodation required that level of advocacy in the first place. Requests tied to disability should be handled smoothly and without friction from the outset, not treated as optional add-ons. It was particularly frustrating that additional justification, and back n forth were needed before the request was recognized appropriately. This was not about the amount, but about the principle. When I asked whether there would be a charge to use a wheelchair, it was immediately understood that there would not be—yet the same principle did not seem to apply here. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, accommodations necessary due to disability should not incur additional fees. I hope the hotel takes this as an opportunity to improve staff awareness, training & policy review so future guests do not have to go through a similar experience. Overall, the stay itself was fine, but this aspect could have been handled much better, and it soured the experience for us. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel unless they make significant changes to be disability-friendly."

"We left before breakfast so didn’t try it. Staff was polite. Parking was plentiful. Only problem was no hot water in our room. Didn’t know until we got up the next morning for showers. I told the desk clerk on the way out. A shower would have been great but had to go without. Clerk said that room had just had a plumber out to fix that. May I suggest that someone check to see if what needed to be fixed is actually fixed. "
