The Idaho City Hotel
"No one was on duty (not terribly unexpected) when I arrived after dinner as this is a small town and motel. There was a number to call to have someone come check me in, but there was no answer to multiple calls. Luckily, the handyman was around and called the owner who came right over - so in the end, not a big problem but something to be aware of if you're arriving "late" - (probably after a 7-8pm). Rooms are very clean and quite small. They are all upstairs which I wish I had known in advance. There's a common room with water, coffee etc. I didn't really look into it, but I did want some ice, and there was none in the refrigerator. It's a very dusty town (at least this time of year) as many roads are unpaved and lots of trucks stir up the dust. A clean room and good shower are the key factors and on this, it was good - but remember that you're visiting a small - "out of the way" town - and your expectations will be met more than if you're thinking of a traditional budget hotel."
