"Clean and well-maintained house. Very good communication. Peaceful setting, far enough out of town yet close enough for convenience. Short stay so we did not have a chance to enjoy the backyard but enjoyed front deck. We will choose this house again!"

"On arrival parking lot was full of potholes, remnants of a partially collapsed hockey rink blocked a portion of the parking access. Front desk was pleasant but did not review any of the particulars, the exterior doors were never locked and were insecure in regard to entrance by literally anybody, breakfast consisted of some extremely watered down juice of indistinguishable flavors and a tray of “scrambled eggs “ that consisted of watered mixed with some form of yellow mix to simulated eggs. No other breakfast items were present at the breakfast station that I visited at 7:30 am. The room was run down with worn dirty carpet, a complicated app for the tv that sometimes loaded and sometimes failed to load, and no channel guide. The bathroom had scattered areas of mold in the shower tile groat, paint was peeling from the ceiling in small spots, the shower curtain rod was Rusty, the shower head was old tech but did work, the bathroom towels consisted of scum ou wash cloth and hand towel and a “ bath towel” that may have been suitable for a small child. Furnishings were old and tired. During my stay the motel had a fire that required evacuation of the building. When I returned later that evening after fishing for the day it was clear that my room had been entered, the luggage rack was folded laying in the floor and there were no towels, etc in the bathroom. I had to go to the front desk where I was given a set of towels and was told they had to “inspect and ventilate” the rooms."

"I was very surprised at many aspects of this place. For a “camper it was very spacious, comfortable & Clean. It was in the woods, quiet, but near town and accessible to so many places-restaurants, shopping, hiking, fishing, etc. Communication with the host was excellent and everything we could need was there. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the sights and sounds in the morning before leaving and also in the evening. I would recommend this place and the host to anyone considering a stay in the Grayling area. My son and I used it as our home base for fishing excursions to the branches of the Au Sable and Manistee Rivers, to the restaurants and fly shops. Thanks Sara and Matt for the nice surprise. As I said, I wasn’t quite sure of what to expect, but it was a great experience."

"It was the off season apparently as I was one of the only guests, if not THE only one. The room was nice. In the morning, I was cooked a fresh hot breakfast since they weren’t having the buffet due to so few guests. It was great! I only stayed for one night as I was just passing through, but everything was wonderful!"
