British Columbia

Canada’s Pacific Northwest province offers rugged ocean shorelines, some of the best skiing in North America and beautiful cities by the sea.

In the southwestern corner of British Columbia, Victoria and Vancouver vie for top honors of must-experience Canadian cities. Butchart Gardens, the Royal BC Museum and a huge Chinatown draw crowds to Victoria on the tip of Vancouver Island. Vancouver itself has a great aquarium and the lovely Stanley Park. From here, drive to Whistler Blackcomb for skiing on Olympic runs. Winter is also popular for viewing raging storms bringing waves to the shoreline near Ucluelet and Tofino in the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.
