Perfect home. A lot of space. It was perfect for our large family of 4 adults and 4 children. The rooms downstairs allowed for separation so we didn’t feel on top of each other.

The property was not properly cleaned - we even communicated in advance we expected the property to be fully cleaned and represent like the photos, due to some other reviews mentioning the lack of cleanliness. Communication with the host was initially not acknowledged then they responded a day later asking me to do their job by sending photos of all the issues, which I sent many photos showing hairballs in drawers, hairs in showers/tubs, grease, sticky substances, etc. I explained we had already cleaned the kitchen, bathrooms and exterior as we wanted to be able to use the residence & they should send a rep over to view the property. The beds are old & sagging, pillows smell and the house in general has a stale, musty smell. There is no more hammock area ( the large tree has been cut down for some time) or game area. The shining star in the residence is the pool. So - if that is all you are interested in, it's worth it. The photos should be updated to properly represent the rental in it's current state.

This home is big and can host many people. It has great potential to be a great home. Unfortunately our stay was not that great. The home was not clean, had dead spidees on the walls and floor. Paint peeling off the walls and doors. The primay bathroom had a smell. The outdoor furniture was extremely dirty amd worn. I paid extra to have the pool heated and it was never heated. Had to contact the host multiple times. The outside grill was nasty and raggedy. Very disappointed. I sent pictures to the host in hopes they would make changes to make this home great.The host did not want to refund the money for heated pool initially; only wanted to give me a gift card. After pushback I was refunded that portion of the trip.Lastly, the host sent me a message today to give a 10/10 and I will receive a giftcard. I took the approach to not give a review and speak directly with the host but now I feel compelled due to the recent outreach that they will rate me 10/10 as a guest and give a gift card if I rate the stay 10/10. Bad business! Hopefully they took my private suggestions to heart and cleaned up the home.

This property was wonderful for our family. The pool was incredible and the parks nearby were fun to visit. The belching beaver in downtown Vista is a must visit and proximity to the coast was perfect. We call it our Hollywood mansion VRBO.

This property could not have been more perfect for our stay! My nephew had his destination wedding in the area and my family wanted to enjoy one another's company when not at the events. The design of the home evokes old Hollywood, and the way the bedrooms are spread throughout the home created an environment where personal and communal space is optimized! The heated saltwater pool and surrounding grounds were so welcoming, beautiful and enjoyable that our time together was relaxed, fun-filled, and delightful! The surrounding area has everything one might need for shopping, dining,and entertainment, and it is all so close by! While we were all so happy to be gathered for such an auspicious occasion on the West Coast, Villa San Michelle provided the home gathering space of our dreams! It was magical for my family to gather and reunite in such a grand, and yet serene place, where the home will be remembered as one of the highlights in a destination wedding that was filled with love, joy, and wonder! Thank you so very, very much!

The Mansion with a wonderful pool

The home was all we needed for a family of 2 seniors, 2 middle aged and 2 young adults. We enjoyed the backyard with all the seating and the incredible pool. Our trips into the city for activities worked well on the interstates.

Nice but be cautious

This is a nice house but it’s not the cleanest and there is no air conditioning. The company that manages is not responsive right away. I would recommend you check everything in the house and report it before staying here. They will blame and charge you for everything. When my family got there all propane tanks were empty. That was frustrating and no one was able to help us until the following day. Our bbq plans were ruined. The only thing nice is the pool. I would not stay here again.

Beautiful Spanish style getaway

This home was absolutely beautiful. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The home is multi level with an old Spanish feel complete with sheer curtains that blow in French door windows. Plants and trees are all around creating a wonderful sense of privacy. The pool is stunning. Property management company were helpful and quick to reply to our messages. There were a couple repair items that they let us know up front about and asked when it would be ok for their repairman to come. He was professional and kind and even brought an extra propane tank just in case. My only gripe was that only one room had a ceiling fan. In a home w/o AC in summer it got fairly warm upstairs.
