A beautifully restored duplex with a story to tell! Once serving as quarters for soldiers during the Spanish-American War, this historic building now shines as a vibrant beach cottage retreat. Nestled just behind Officer’s Row and beside another Mermaid Cottages treasure—the Enlisted Men’s Mess Hall/Screened Inn duplex—it offers guests a unique connection to Tybee’s past. Lovingly renovated, the home is bright, colorful, and a true showcase of coastal cottage style, blending history with whimsical décor and modern comfort.

COTTAGE ON THE GREEN B
Cottage on the Green “B” is one half of a historic cottage duplex. This 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath retreat begins with entry through a spacious screened porch.

With an open living, dining, and kitchen area there is room for guests to relax and enjoy the spend quality time together.

Queen Bedroom #1 is sunny and cheerful, with a flat-screen TV for downtime. Its screened sleeping porch adds a touch of whimsy, featuring a swinging full-sized bed, breezy ceiling fan, cozy curtains, and sparkling party lights—an irresistible spot to unwind.

Twin Bedroom #2 features two twin beds with beautiful bedding and an attached full bathroom that includes a tub and shower combination. This bathroom also provides direct access to the side yard and the outdoor shower, complete with both hot and cold water.

This property is perfect for a stay on Tybee Island.We brought our bikes and didn’t need out vehicle all week - the location is great! A few minutes walk to the beach, a short bike ride to ice cream (The Sugar Shack) and Jaycee Park is right outside the back door!

Perfect little cottage! Close to easy beach access, golf cart rentals, North Beach Bar & Grill, ice cream shop. The extra touches were fantastic - efficient, quiet tower fans for each bedroom, multiple charger ports for electronics (and for the golf cart), tons of pantry items including ziplocks, chip clips, olive oil, seasonings, coffee pods & coffee, beach gear. This little place packed it all in! Would love to come back.

Lovely Cottage on North Island

Second time we’ve stayed at Cottage on the Green. Last time we stayed in A and this time we stayed in B. Such a great spot that backs up to the park. Quieter end of the island which we prefer and we loved the swinging bed on the back porch for reading and napping. The decor of this cottage is super cute and everything was clean and tidy. We had ample towels, linens and blankets plus nice to have detergent and laundry machine and dishwasher. Evelyn was quick to respond to my questions. Rented a golf cart which made traveling around the island much easier and then we didn’t have to pay for parking. (Note: there are external outlets which make electric cart charging super easy). Thank you for making our trip so relaxing and easy. We are eager to plan our next stay with you!

Fantastic place

Evelyn-your cottage was the best place I have ever stayed at. Everything was absolutely perfect. The way you have it decorated made me want to stay forever. And the short walk to the beach was marvelous. Loved the rooster. We named him Brewster. Will definitely be coming back.

Treat at the Beach!

Wonderful Vintage Cottage

Our stay on Tybee Island was enjoyable, relaxing and fun due to staying in this delightful vintage cottage. It was cheery, comfortable, quiet, well equipped and convenient. The porches were literally a breath of fresh air after being in the cold, wet weather of NJ. The close proximity to the beach and the beautiful park behind the property provided us with many walking experiences. We highly recommend staying here!

Last minute spring break trip

If you staying love finding unique places to stay, then this is it! Nothing cookie cutter about this eclectic rental. It's beautifully decorated and furnished to fit the time period of the home and has EVERY comfort of a modern home, too. Bright and open feeling with large windows and two screened porches to enjoy on either side of the home. Short walk to the beach and quiet neighborhood away from the crowds. And it was sparkling clean! Even better than the photos online, and the owner was very pleasant, checking in to make sure everything was as it should be after we arrived. And she did a wonderful job of actually stocking the property with MORE supplies than the listing stared. Perfect for a family of 3-4 or a girl's trip! We loved staying here and are already planning our next trip. Beautiful

Perfectly Imperfect Vintage Seaside Cottage

My husband & I really enjoyed our time together here. I loved the vintage decor choices, the cozy, laidback vibe, the salvaged mish-mash of it all! So many lovely & inviting spaces to choose from, I wish we could have stayed longer! The shortcut path to the beach was appreciated & the walk was short & sweet with a gorgeous hearty red rooster along our way each day to greet us! He’d also crow every morning but never too early which was very hospitable of him!Everything we could possibly need was there & then some. The only thing not supplied (no biggie) but on the chance it would matter to someone is that there was no fabric softener or dryer sheets available. Also, there was a SUPER strong odor of paint which could possibly be an issue for some? We were fine but it was just unpleasant. We tried to keep the windows & doors open as much as possible to try & help air it out but it didn’t seem to make a difference….we get that maintenance needs to be done & I’m sure it will eventually fade. It was pretty strong though so just a heads up if you’re planning a visit soon

welcome spring

My daughter and I enjoyed 3 days of beautiful sunny days in this charming cottage. Some friends dropped by and we enjoyed conversation, time walking in the park and goint to the beach. It was a perfect break from winter and we were both refreshed for the trip home.

The house was exactly as described- very charming! Location is excellent, 5 min golf cart ride or less from lighthouse, beach, and most restaurants ( AJs maybe 10 min golf ride). The view of park from living area was beautiful. Great for two people - may be a little hard for more to share the one shower.

Wonderful Get away

We stayed for 4 nights at Cottage on the Green B. We have visited Tybee a number of times on our way from Richmond to Tampa to visit family. Just love this beautifully decorated home right on the park and close to the beach. It has everything! Sleeping porch, porch for jigsaw puzzle-working, coffee pods, tea, shampoo and conditioner, laundry detergent, Netflix, responsive host, easy walk to restaurants. The hope is immaculate! Hope we can visit again. Just love the decor. It is perfect!

Great off season getaway

Cottage B is as cute as a button - cheerfully decorated, clean, and cozy. The host was very accommodating and responsive. The cottage is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood at the north end of Tybee Island which made it a good home base for visiting the beach and adventures in Savannah.

Beautiful cottage near North Beach

Lovely old cottage, very comfortable and beautifully decorated; we enjoyed our stay so much! Located next to a town park, where we walked a loop under the trees every day. If you’re looking for a unique place to stay, this is it. Two screened porches, vintage building and decor with modern comforts. We could walk to North Beach. And cocktails at the North Beach Grill! Also very close to Sea Wolf, where we had great Tybee Salt Bombs (local oysters) and gourmet hot dogs. Highly recommend.

Loved the location, the house was unique and loved the screened porches and amenities. Will say that the rug in the living room area had not been vacuumed well enough on arrival. Also the washer leaked when we did a load of laundry and the bathroom fans were not effective.

Wonderful girls’ weekend

This was my second time staying at this property but the first time staying in B. I came for a long weekend with my two daughters, to celebrate my youngest daughter’s 21st birthday. We absolutely loved it! It is cool and funky, comfortable, clean, serene, and in a great location. We liked being in a more residential area with a very short walk to the beach. If I had one complaint it would be the need for more counter space in the bathroom. With 3 girls, there wasn’t much space for all the stuff. Maybe put a small cabinet in the full bath instead of the chair? With that said though, I would absolutely stay here again!

As Cute As They Get

After seeing this listing in an issue of Country Living several use ago it instantly went on my vacation bucket list! One of the major things I look at when booking is the interior as I want it to feel like home. This place did not disappoint! It had plenty of space for my family of three. My daughter even ended up sleeping on the oversized bed swing one night. The only down side of this unit was that there is no closet space. However there were multiple wall hangers where I could hang all of my clothes. We were within a short distance to downtown Savannah and other areas.
