Loved it!

Great riverfront cabin!! A great alternative to mountain cabins. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 rating was that the drive back to the cabin is quite long & very narrow if you’re trailering motorcycles. Other than that, it was perfect!

Cabin

Over all we enjoyed it. Make sure to bring your day to day things. Nothing is stocked. We love the stream, great for the kids! I didn’t think it was very clean.. it wasn’t crazy dirty but definitely not clean. The doors do not lock from the inside. My little one would constantly open the doors bc it doesn’t lock. It make me nervous with the stream being so close. It does lock from the outside!

Cute cabin on the water

We had a good stay in this cabin. We chose this specifically for the location on the river and location to the national park. We liked how close it was to everything and our young boys loved fishing and splashing in the river. There is car traffic that you hear from across the road (which we knew from previous reviews bit it didn’t keep us up at night). We never got the QR code for the promised discounted tickets via the rental company despite a few phone calls. Otherwise the cabin is comfortable but bare bones- bring your own deck of cards, games, wood, coals, etc.

Beautiful spot by the river!

The cabin was spacious and cozy! We especially loved the comfy rocking chairs on the porch and the steps that lead to the water. A great spot for morning coffee! We were in town for the Cades Cove loop lope race and enjoyed an “ice bath” in the river. Location is perfect if you want to be close to the park but not in the busy areas of Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Will definitely recommend to others!

Excellent riverfront property

Spacious spacious cabin, great gas fireplace, large lawn and easy river access. Very clean except for dust bunnies behind doors and floor needed a good sweeping. Right on the river, can get out and go soak in the river or float down the river. No kitchen supplies at all. Bring everything you need salt pepper oil, cooking spray, foil, plastic wrap, no ice trays, napkins, condiments, no coffee filters, coffee, lighters/bbq lighters for the fire pit. There was a good deal of pots and pans. If you’re planning on staying longer than a few days and you want to do laundry, they provide very minimal laundry soap. At the time of our stay, there were two camp chairs and two large inner tubes and two smaller inner tubes provided. Drive into the cabin is on a very narrow road, if upset, traffic coming, you’d have to pull over or back up for them to pass. There is no town access from this cabin across the river. You have to go back on the road in to get into town. Overall, we would stay here again.

Perfect in Every Way

The location of this cabin is great, especially for being close to things to do in Townsend and for visiting Gatlinburg and/or Pigeon Forge. It's located with Little River in the backyard and a massive front yard with a fire pit. It has everything you need; however, you'll need to bring things like condiments if you want those. The water pressure in the main bathroom is very low and the water doesn't get hot BUT the master bathroom is great. Overall, be ready for a nice peaceful stay!

First time at this property

The cabin was clean. We were able to access as noted in information. Firepit was really nice. Unfortunately, the gas fireplace in the cabin did not work. Reported it to vacasa and received prompt response as well as from property management but no one came to fix it during our stay as was promised. Cabin was roomy for 4 adults. Minor issue no ice in the refrigerator. I did not like the add on fee for vacasa property management AFTER I scheduled the cabin on line with VRBO. I would have given it a 5 star if not for these items. I would consider staying the in the future.

Fall Break 2022

Beautiful property, nice cabin. Being on the other side of the river was nice and quiet. Our little one had lots of room to run and play, and the fire pit was relaxing. We all loved watching the geese on the river and hearing the water. Those rocking chairs were great! If anyone wants a peaceful place to stay, this is it. There were some parts of the steps that were hard to see at night, no instructions for the gas fireplace and the dishwasher's detergent dispenser was broken.

Sweet Retreat.

We enjoyed the ‘Peaceful Side’ of the Smokies. The Little River was amazing for late Sept. the sound of living water is so precious. We experienced geese that visited us at the cabin every evening, the song birds, the fire pit. fresh air, and very kind folks who live in Townsend. Oh how blessed we are to live in our beautiful USA. The mountain and road tours were astounding. This location is perfect to reach all the wonderful things Smokies have to offer and then tuck away for your slice of tranquility at Water’s Edge cabin. Thanks for asking for recommendations. Very caring hosts. We felt the love. Kindly Your FL / KS Family Gatjering Guests
