Well, of course the Seattle area is beautiful, and we arrived when the trees were turning to the brilliant fall colors. The dining area was clean and set up for social distancing. Unlike many hotels, Hampton Inn at Federal way had a restaurant type setup in which only the server had direct access to the foods, yet they had a full menu. You ordered what you wanted and the server dished it up, so it was a beautiful, hot meal with many options. The room was roomy and neat. My window looked out over the landscaped parking lot where my car was parked so I could check on it at any time, but no problems with security. The hotel's security system was very modern, with keys to enter, keys for the elevators, and keys for the rooms as well. Elevators were marked out for social distancing and we never had to wait long for an elevator ride. It was very nice.

This is a newer property and I think there are still glitches. When I arrived the front doors didn’t work (the only working staff had to come and manually open them.). The elevator was not working either (and was not fixed before I checked out - meaning hauling a suitcase up/down 4 flights of stairs.) And the A/C units, though brand new, were so loud I had to turn them off to fall asleep. The staff also had no idea what their cleaning regimen was during COVID - she knew only that my room wouldn’t be serviced if I was in it.
