We came to St. Louis on a quick overnight trip. The hotel was surprisingly nice and comfortable. A little dated looking, but the bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was huge, great tub, huge shower and incredible clean. Also, the complimentary breakfast had really great options, even made-to-order omelette, and the restaurant staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. It was a win for us!

The room was very comfortable and clean. The self parking for $6 in the parking facility behind the hotel was convenient. The breakfast (included) was very good, served in the hotel restaurant. I would stay here again.

We like the room to be updated but the other part of the hotel was dated. The hallway in our floor smelled like weed our whole stay. Getting to the pool could be confusing. A lot of people are getting lost. Needs more signage. But we loved the breakfast. A lot of options and loved the omelet station. We hope they have a different selection every day.

Bait and switch

The hotel lobby is great, so we figured we were in for a nice stay, but the rooms were ridiculous. The sink was cracked, the tub stopper was broken, the flooring and paint in the bathroom were bubbling and peeling. The floor under the bed was filthy, and the tvs are old so there’s no ability to access apps. The front of the A/C unit kept falling off. There’s no blind in the window and the curtains are ornamental so the sun woke the kids up every morning. The room and bathroom were TINY. There was barely enough room to move around and the door nearly hits the toilet when you open it in the bathroom. The hallway smelled like weed and a woman was smoking weed right by the pool where kids were swimming. For the price I paid I was not happy whatsoever. This place is falling apart. The pictures DO NOT show the actual rooms. some part of this hotel has 4-star rooms I’m sure they’re nice, but we weren’t in them. The breakfast was good. The staff was wonderful. The laundry facilities were clean.

We've stayed here before, and the hotel is beautiful--grand piano, chandeliers, iron and brass railings for the stairs. We love the historic look to the hotel! Our room had plenty of space, and the bathroom--a tub-shower combo AND a tech-smart second shower that was lovely and high-end shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Their staff is very welcoming and professional! On the downside, they missed some details. Someone had opened the packages of coffee condiments, so when I made coffee, I didn't have any stirring sticks. There were only two towels for a room that slept four. And, a bit dangerous, the sofa bed was broken. When I sat on it, I went through to the floor! I did report this to the front desk, however, so they could fix it for the next guest.
