The rooms are very modern and the beds very comfortable. Lots of on-site off the road parking they do lockdown at 10 PM which is nice for security but difficult if you’re checking in late.

I love staying at Mirage when I need a nice, basic hotel near the beach. The rooms are always clean, parking is included, and it’s just a few blocks away from Ocean Beach. Staff accommodated a last minute, late check in too.

Downsides: front desk staff are brusque rather than friendly (not a big deal); pillows pretty tough; not noise insulated, so you hear other guests in hallway. This can be hard if you are a light sleeper. I’d stay here again if I brought ear plugs, a nice pillow, and a big “QUIET”sign to tape to the door.
