"Perfect location"
Our room at this hotel reminded me more of a small apartment than a traditional hotel room. You can tell that the property is old but the style is funky and chic. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. The location of this hotel is seriously perfect. Lots and lots of shopping within walking distance, close enough that you can stop back at your room to drop off bags. The cable car pick-up/drop-off is also only a couple blocks away. There is a large Walgreens directly across the street that has a grocery store for supplies. I would absolutely recommend staying here if you're looking for a room close to all of the downtown action.

"Fancy Hotel"
This hotel has a very classy feel to it. It is really the best hotel I've ever stayed at. I will definitely stay here again. I used valet services and although it was a bit pricy it was a nice service to have. The staff also helped carry my luggage which right away was a huge plus for me. The systems were down when I arrived but check in was still a speedy process. There was hardly any delay with the system outage.

"Fine for the price"
Hotel Mark Twain has spacious guest rooms, attractive décor, friendly staff. It is undergoing renovation, our room had probably only recently been completed as it smelled of new carpet and paint as we entered, however it was not overbearing and we didn't notice it any other time except when entering the room. The windows don't open, which made us appreciate the ceiling fan - except it didn't work :-( so the room felt stuffy much of the time. Bathroom was small but efficient, however no hairdryer or tissues were included which is such a standard anymore it was surprising they were lacking. Also, the bar in the lobby was not operational. We stayed on a Saturday, there was a sign indicating wine service from 4-6 M-F so maybe that's what they are able to manage, but I had hoped to have a drink when we returned from dinner. Fortunately there are plenty of places for drinking, dining, shopping nearby but ask the desk staff which direction to NOT go as there are sketchy areas within blocks. That being said, we never felt unsafe or concerned.. Try the Taylor St café for breakfast next door, yummy!

"Fabulous location at the heart of the city. "
Ok, seriously this really is a great location at the heart of the city. As a newer hotel it is in "new" condition which offers not only high quality details but it also newer technology. The staff was very attentive. I strongly recommend this hotel. I think you'll enjoy it as much as I did with my family.

"Both Positive and Negative Stay"
We liked everything about the location and stay at the Warwick except upon our arrival. Since San Francisco is know for being a pet friendly city we got the taste of that when we got the key to our room. The pet order in that particular room was so bad we had to request to be moved. The room is cute and has all you need and it was clean but the pet order made us begin with a negative feeling. I will say the staff was so nice, they apologized for the smell and immediately moved us to another room. We had the pet odor in our noses still so it took us all that day to get it our of our system. Thank god for lysol!! Walgreens is across the street and got a big bottle of it and sprayed every day. The new room didn't smell we just had the pet odor up our nose and wouldn't go away from the previous room. The location was great especially if you love shopping. All the name brand stores are arouund the corner and lots of nice cafe and restaurants, at night it was a little dreary because there is a lot of homeless people out on the streets so be careful it looks like all the creeps come out at night. I'm not saying I wouldn't stay there again because I would but I would have to be with a better rate per night because I think its pricey and not worth the current rate. There are other nicer hotels near by and walking distance wise for better prices.
