The staff was extremely kind and welcoming. I've stayed there twice. The fabric furniture in the room was worn out and a bit stained, particularly the office chair and ottoman. The only major issue I had with the property in general is the proximity to the highway. It is extremely loud, particularly in the morning, and made it hard to sleep.

It was two types of flying bugs in the room. The window in the bathroom would not close which I felt very unsafe. Mold near floor boards, peeling floorboards, rust stain in toilet making it appear as soon just used the room. This room is not worth $83 dollars. I should've received a refund or some money back for this!

Shopped around quite a bit before settling on Howard Johnson. Best deal! The staff was friendly, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was about what you'd expect for that price. After a long day kayaking Silver Springs the hot tub was a perfect way to end the day.

The room was in unsanitary and unsafe condition. Roaches were discovered later during the stay, along with visible mold, holes in the ceiling above the toilet and shower, and a non-functioning smoke detector. The microwave and refrigerator were also inoperable. These issues were reported to the front desk immediately upon discovery. Management stated they had no pest control available and that no further assistance could be provided beyond a partial room refund and a full pet fee refund if we left or they can move us to the room next door. As a result, we advised that we would be contacting Expedia to seek resolution. The condition of the room did not match the online listing, and the environment felt unsafe. People fighting all night long throwing things. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. This is the worst hotel.

It was ok. The room had music noise and a dog barking and two bugs running around. Room 205 needs a better floor and frig without towels. And a new toilet. It was a quick stop. The breakfast lady does a good job. Good coffee and waffles, boiled eggs. Thank you.

The staff is friendly. But the complimentary breakfast is not hot during the week only weekends they add hot eggs and sausage. The pool was not working during visit only hot tub. The hotel it self is under going renovation in certain rooms and I had to be moved to my 1st room being not updated and it smelled . They did change me to a newer room with carpet . But I would recon for a short stay nothing pass 3 days .
