Terrible customer service and management team. Didn’t give us the right room.

Location was perfect for me.

Pros: Location was perfect for purpose of my trip and price was good.
Cons: The beds were comfortable but I was not as pleased with the pillows. They seemed a little flat.
Location: I was visiting my grandson at NYU which was within walking distance or by subway. Loved being so close to Little Italy.
The hotel met my expectations. I knew the rooms were small with minimal amenities as advertised. However, it served my purpose. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. Love the double shower heads. The location was perfect for the purpose of the trip. The staff were super friendly. Will definitely stay there again.

A great place to stay in NYC

Pros: Cleanliness, no frills, modern bathroom, close to a lot of stuff. Great chill staff.
Cons: Hallways can use a little more ventilation.
You want to stay in a nice little place away from the craziness of Times Square give this little gem in SoHo/Little Italy a try. To be sure this is a no frills hotel with small rooms, but really do you want to pay $400 to stay at a larger room when you'll be using nothing but the bed and the bathrooms? Our room was very clean and the bathroom, not sure when they were done, was quite modern. The air conditioner worked very nice as the temperatures in NYC went over 100. It's two blocks from the middle of Little Italy and three blocks from Chinatown. Soho starts to your left as you leave the hotel. Greenwich village is not far at all. To top all that we ended up with FREE overnight parking right in front of the hotel (Sunday only) and unlike Midtown we didn't have to deal with the cabs honking all night.

Great hotel if you just need somewhere to sleep.

Pros: Showers are awesome! Like washing yourself under a fire hose.
Location: Great little breakfast and lunch place directly across from the hotel, and a nice little French bistro right next door.
Hotel is very nice, modern, and clean. The rooms are very small and the hotel itself if very narrow (there are only 4 rooms per floor). The rooms themselves are very small, two beds with about 18" between them and a small desk and dresser with narrow paths between them. Not that this is a bad thing necessarily, if you are just looking for an inexpensive place to sleep and that's all, but if you need more space or are traveling with kids that need some room to move about then this might not be the best place for you.

Friendly Staff, New York Experience!

Pros: Great restaurants nearby, walkable to the train. Clean room, friendly staff.
Cons: Would definitely have enjoyed hot showers and a micro/fridge.
Location: Very close to China Town and Little Italy. Walkable to Katz's Delicatessen.
We stayed here with our 5 year old son, and my parents were in another room. The staff worked hard to be accommodating when we were trying to figure out where our son could sleep. Although we ended up pushing the two beds together, they did try to find us another room that would have space for a roll out bed. They were always friendly when we were coming and going, and had great advice about restaurants and directions. The room was tight for the 3 of us...the water ran cold on 2 of 3 morning showers...the alarm clock didn't work...the cable tv wasn't very extensive...no in-room microwave or fridge...but for the basics, it was just fine. Not spending a lot of time in the hotel room anyway!

Beautiful Hotel in Excellent Manhattan Location

Pros: It's location and style were exactly what we hoped for. The staff were awesome.
Cons: Nothing, this exceeded my expectations.
Location: Lower Manhattan area, walking distance to Freedom Tower and the 9/11 Memorial. Where Little Italy meets Chinatown. Lots of Yummy food with good prices
This small hotel makes the most of its space. Our room was actually bigger than I thought it would be and the space was efficiently used. The mattress' were uber comfortable, my traveling companion dubbed them "cloud beds". The staff were wonderfully helpful, giving us information about the area. They had a great professional and friendly attitude, I felt they genuinely wanted to help us. The room was very clean and had nice tidbits of style, the floor was constructed of woven metal but not cold to walk on, and I liked the smell of the provided soaps and lotions. It was also quiet in the sense that I couldn't hear the people in the room next to us, just the street traffic out side our window. I was very pleased with the location. We were nestled right where Chinatown meets Little Italy. The food options at any of the local eateries were superb. If you want amazing Italian pastries at 11 o'clock at night, no problem, it's right there. One hint: don't plan on bringing perishable food back to your room for later, there's no fridge in the room or microwave. But we didn't really need these appliances, I found the food portion sizes in the city to be just right for one sitting.

Soho stay

Pros: See above. It was very clean, nicely furnished & the staff was great.
Cons: The room could have been a little bigger, but that can't be changed now!
Location: It's in SoHo, near TriBeCa & Chinatown. There are numerous great shops & restaurants nearby & it's right near the subway entrance.
We found this hotel online while looking for a not too expensive place to stay near Chinatown. The Solita was a good bargain. Although the room we stayed in was a little small, it was everything they promised. We had a clean, well decorated room, with modern fixtures, a flat screen TV & free Wi-fy. The staff really took care of us by calling a car for us when we went out & again upon our return. They were very knowledgeable about the area & gave great advice about places to go, eat, etc...I would definitely stay here again.
