Charged Double on credit card

It was a great central place to stay. Family of 4 fit well in the room. Staff were great, only issue was that I gave them my credit card at check in and for some reason the person didn’t put the hold on it so we were locked out of our room for about an hour which made us late to our football game. And they charged us twice for our stay (1xhotel.com 1xpark central) and we had to work quite hard to get our money back. So check this before you check out. Don’t go with the automatic drop key check out. Apart from that the hotel is great and I will stay again.

This hotel is a jewel ! It is two blocks away from Central Park. The area is full of diverse dining options. Subway entrance is right at the corner. Walking to Times Square takes 5 min only and there is plenty of security officers around the area. Definitely we will book it again !

The room needs maintenance , the bathroom needs attention, the bathroom door needs to be repaired, the AC is bad , called customer service , they sent someone but still the issue was not solved I dont know if it is because of hotels.com they get good rates from the hotel based on the rooms, the receipt i got from the hotel was less than the amount i paid to hotels.com or it is because i am booking through a third party , the hotel assigns an old rooms

Overall a good experience. I was told at first they would provide a refrigerator for my medication, but we never got one. The housekeepers were excellent, but the front desk never had more than 1 person and always had a line of people waiting. Great location for our vacation and we enjoyed our stay. I would go back.

I stayed 3 nights. 2 nights were without any problem. The second night I had the whole night the alarm detector running out of battery. I called several times during the whole night. They told me someone was coming. Nobody came. I couldnt sleep the whole night. The Hotel is with great location but probably out of staff. Too many guest. Caos for checking in. Lines to speak to manager. The next morning after not sleeping and calling the whole night the finally send someone to fix the alarm. They changed it because it was broken. Just a small apologyze and they didnt chargme me the hotel service fee ($40) for one night. But I payed full night for 3 nights. I payed aprox. 450USD every night. So I ended up paying 450$ for a night that I couldnt even sleep. I send an email asking a refund for that night, not the other 2 nigths that were ok. Never heard back. Too big hotel. Too many guest for a good service.
