Romantic Hotels in Mexico City

"A beautiful, brutalist hotel. Built in the sixties for the Olympics. It’s like stepping back into the past with modern amenities. Great area. Ubers cheap as tacos. East to get everywhere and a lovely welcoming oasis from the hustle and bustle outside its yellow walls. great pool. The hotel is being renovated our room was not yet renovated but perfect for our needs. Great bathroom, comfy bed and balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. The sounds of songbirds in the morning a delight and me well as hummingbirds and butterflies. we paid a little extra for the Camino Club benefits which included a great breakfast hosted by the wonderful Jesus. There is also a complementary happy hour early evening. There are fancier or boutiquier offerings out there, but I really enjoyed stay in the futurist 20th century fantasy. "

"Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The property was clean and the amenities were nice. Breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was nice and the cafe being open 24/7 was even better. This is the perfect location to stay at if you are going to do any tours as the meeting points are close by. Lots of museums and shops in walking distance from here too. "

"This is a terrific hotel/museum with a storied history, beautiful woodwork and architecture, and a dedicated and friendly staff. I've stayed in many downtown CDMX hotels, and this just became my favorite. Zona Rosa and the Genova walkway (andador) is filled with shops, restaurants and street vendors. The area is showing it's age but feels safe and secure. We will definitely return.
