"We had a wonderful stay in the spacious basement suite! There was plenty of room for our family, and the kids especially loved the toys provided. JF & his wife truly went above and beyond—welcoming us with a tour of the property & encouraging the kids to explore the yard. They were so personable and friendly—truly the ideal hosts.The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do in Acadia, and the detailed binder of local tips and recommendations they prepared was invaluable for planning our trip. Communication was quick and easy throughout. Our only regret was not having a few extra days to take advantage of the canoes and kayaks available on the property. Highly recommend!"

"Our stay was nothing short of amazing! The location of this property, the view, the cleanliness and the communication process were perfect - absolutely no complaints! The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed including beach towels, tupperware for packing a picnic, plenty of towels and a nice selection of dishes, kitchenware, cups, etc. All of my messages, questions were returned promptly and the check-in and check-out process with smooth.The location was perfect-it was quieter than staying in Bar Harbor, but still close and convenient to everything.We also enjoyed walking down to the dock that was close to the home and enjoying the view!I can't say enough good things, we were sad to leave, highly recommend! "This was the best vacation I have had in Acadia over twenty years. The McAllister home has everything and more. From checkin, the private dock, home fully equipped it was amazing. My grandsons had a blast on the water and the home was a respite for us as healthcare professionals. Beautiful and convenient location. "

" Beautiful home, very spacious. Plenty of bathrooms for all of us to get ready. Kitchen well stocked for cooking for large group. Indoor and outdoor table large enough for entire group. Excellent communication from host, very quick and responsive. Check in and check out easy. Very few check out request. The one thing that was not wonderful is that only 2 bedrooms had air conditioning. Probably not a huge deal for most of the year but a few nights were miserable for the folks staying in those rooms in July (there were plenty of fans). The 2nd bedroom downstairs had doors made of glass so we did have to throw a blanket on them to provide privacy also. Overall a great house, everything else excellent!"
