Great location

Location was perfect. We had a rental car and chose to stay in south Maui so we would be more central to rest of the island. The actual rental location was also perfect for more relaxed days as we could walk across the street to the beach, walk to plenty of restaurants/stores. The pool/hot tub was nice as well. The condo was as described in the listing and pictures. Communication from the host was very good and fast.

Kihei Alii Kai condo

Excellent location in a non-tourist trap non-resort area. 1 block from some of the best beaches on Maui. Kamaole 1 right across the road. Walk to food and shopping nearby. Short drive to any other place or activity in South or West Maui. Condo was very clean, bed bath and kitchen linens were nice. Kitchen well supplied with everything to cook, etc. Toybox on lanai had very nice beach umbrella, beach chairs and kids toys for the beach. Even masks and snorkels. A clothes drying rack was nice, we used it LOTS. In suite washer and dryer were Terrific. Excellent home away from home in paradise. Communication from property manager was excellent and they were very thoughtful. Combo entry lock programmed for our use was very nice, eliminating the need to carry a key around.

Excellent condo, property, and location!

Condo was as the pictures showed. Beautiful, open living room, big lanai and comfy lounge chair to enjoy the view and the weather, and comfortable beds. Both the bed and the sofa bed were extremely comfortable! The A/C worked well, and the blinds were easy to use and effective. LOVED our stay, and would definitely book this rental again!!

Perfect location

This VRBO is centrally located in Kihei. We were able to walk to the beach and several shops and restaurants. It was clean and had everything we needed for a simple meal on the lanai. The communication with the Host was outstanding and the check-in process was very easy. Having four beach chairs, towels and a cooler made beach trips wonderful. Having a washer and dryer was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again.

FABULOUS!

We loved our stay for a week. It was a great home away from home. It was a good central location for eveything we wanted to see. Loved it being a short walk to the Beach. Great food close by. It was very clean and loved the natural light. I would stay there again.

Relaxing at Kihei Alli Kai

We love the property, the units and the location , which is central to Kiheis' beaches, shopping and more. Unit has everything one could need , kitchen well equiped and unit comfortable. Definitely allowed us to relax for the two weeks plus we were there.

Clean and comfortable condo

We really enjoyed our stay here as it was clean with lots of amenities in the kitchen. It is central with a few minute walk to Kamaole 1 beach but away from the noise of South Kihei Rd. The lanai is large and has a great view of West Maui mountains and an ocean view. The complex is very well kept with a nice pool. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you

Perfect Stay

You will thank yourself for choosing this property for your stay. The condo was very clean and super spacious. It’s equipment with everything you need , it even has a coffee bean grinder for those famous Hawaii coffee beans ! The view is perfect in the mornings and evenings with those large windows and sliding doors. When my family came to visit, they were impressed with the value of that place. This property will definitely be my place to stay every time I come to visit, and that will be often since my grandson was just born on Maui.

Great stay!

Location, unit and amenities were all fantastic. Condo is well stocked in the kitchen and with beach toys. As another reviewer mentioned, things don’t dry out completely in Hawaii, so the towels smell a bit sour even after washing. Also of note, for those with kids, there are no toys/inflatables/snorkels allowed in the pool (and these rules are enforced). Other than that a really great stay and a great condo.

Amazing Family Vacation!

This space was exactly as advertised - the unit and the complex are well kept and clean. Location is fantastic. Appliances are all very new and in great condition - the kitchen is well stocked and there is a natural food store a short walk away with pretty much all you need for food supplies. The boogie boards and Tommy Bahama chairs are perfect for the beach. Our family of four would highly recommend staying here.

Awesome condo and great location!

We really enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time on Maui. Mahalo! The condo was very clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for our stay. Location was perfect for day trips to explore this beautiful island as well as for nearby beaches and restaurants. The building and the pool area is well-maintained and clean, and parking was included. The bed was very comfortable, the sofa as well, and memory foam pillows were such a nice touch. There is a window AC in the living room, and even though the bedroom doesn’t have AC, it has fans, and it was cool enough to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was fully equipped (including a blender), and having a washer and dryer in the apartment was a big plus. We found beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler bag and some extra things for the beach that weren’t listed. In case you want to rent big paddle boards or other equipment for water activities, there’s a rental shop just a few min walk from the building. The balcony is spacious, and the lounge chair was perfect to chill after the beach while watching the sunset or have my morning coffee watching the sunrise. We were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was there! Having a grocery shop, ABC store, gas station nearby was very convenient as well as plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from. The beach is just a few minute walk, across the street, and there are plenty of beautiful beaches within a short drive. Communication with the management company was great, self check in and check out procedures were easy and went smooth. Thank you for a lovely and comfortable stay, we highly recommend this condo and will definitely come back!

Perfect quiet location with amazing view

This was way better than expected. First of all the location is perfect. Tucked away from the busy S Kehei rd., but no longer than you can lay on the spacious terrasse and have a clear view of the sea. It only takes a couple of minutes and you're on the beach. Also, you have Natural Foods and ABC stores just a 3-minute walk away, so shopping is easy. I stayed in some hot days, and the AC worked perfectly. A little noisy but did the trick. The condo has all you need for the beach including paddleboards. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom is as shown. Al in all a great experience.

Pros and cons of our stay

Let me begin by stating that we were here for a month. You would think there would be some accommodations made for extra sheets, towels, cleaning products, etc. No. Negatives: The poor quality of the items here was a bad start. Sheets for hideaway bed with hole in them. Cleaning people came and gave us a King set for Queen bed. Towels that smell like a wet dog. Bedding that smelled like last guest. Beach towels that were stained and thread bare. A broom that couldn’t sweep. Mop that was falling apart. Poorly stocked kitchen. Dryer vents into unit; hot. Toilet rocks, bathroom sink won’t plug. Very worn furniture, thread bare. Knives that don’t cut. *(Rental owners did give us a small gift card to make up for rough start.) On the flip side there were some positives here: Location Nice pool Friendly people Quick and responsive rental agency Coffee grinder Newer fans Binoculars Beach gear If you are staying a few days you can probably live with the level of discomfort but if you are planning a long visit, find somewhere else!

Spacious condo with all the things you need on vacation

The condo is nice and spacious, in good location, close to beaches, shops and restaurants. It is equipped with everything you need but you can’t bring from home. Beach accessories are also provided. Best of all is to have washer/dryer in the unit. We loved the place and hope to be back one day.

Great location but the condo was not “beautiful”.

This was an older property. Partially brought up to date. Needs new furniture, air conditioning system is inadequate for really hot days. Several of the electrical plugs do not function. Kitchen was stocked well. All in all, a bit shabby. The pool was closed for repairs, and we had alot of hassle getting the TV on. Our agent was kind enough to refund us a % off of our fees. If you were here for the beach with boards and all, it is a great location. Lots of restaurants very close. Very quiet at night.

Beautiful, spacious condo with a lovely view and convenient location

This is a beautiful property with a lovely view and a convenient location. The kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom were all beautiful and in great/new condition. We stayed here for our last 2 nights in Maui after spending time in Kaanapali, Makawao, and Hana. From Kihei, we visited Big Beach, which was a 17-minute drive. We took advantage of the grill for dinner our first night We had booked a snorkel tour from Maalaea Harbor which was a 20-minute drive. After a busy morning of snorkeling, we walked to the beach just down the street. We brought our snorkel gear just in case, and much to our surprise, there were 2 sea turtles close to the shore! There were plenty of restaurants in walking distance to choose from for our last night dinner out. It was also a comfortable distance to the airport for our return home. The only minor complaint is, the condo building is a bit of a maze and took a little time to get used to the numbering as well as walking up and down stairs to get to the unit. For us, the pluses far outweighed this minor inconvenience.
