Livestock on Property

We've enjoyed many great vacation rentals, but this was not one of them. For starters, before our trip, I sent a couple messages to the property owner asking if the house offered a fenced, secure area for our dog, but received no response. This was the first red flag. Normally property owners respond. When we arrived at the property, I not only discovered there is No Fenced Yard, but there are Livestock (Flock of Sheep and Donkey) on the property, which is not noted in the listing. While they are cute, and contained in a picket fence, the fence is not impermeable to dogs or kids, which creates a significant safety concern, and liability for the property owner. There is also a shepherd who enters the property in his truck twice a day, also not mentioned in the listing, to feed the animals. There were two other annoyances, the heating/cooling system and extra firm, uncomfortable beds. Regarding the AC unit, it would switch from heat mode to cool mode in the same day, and could not be turned off because the system required a password. I contacted Vacasa, who manages the property for help in turning the system off, but was told that the owners who control the AC unit would not provide the code nor would they turn off the system. Thus, for the entire duration of our stay, we never comfortable.

Beautiful Wedding getaway in the wine country!

Our stay was really perfect! The house and surrounding area is lovely, just minutes from adorable downtown Healdsburg and all the wine tasting you could want!!! The house was exactly what we needed for a family of 5 and significant others of adult children. Lots of space for hanging together and relaxing in privacy. Would return again for sure!!!

Great Stay!

The house was perfect for our family Thanksgiving stay. The kitchen was well equipped and very organized. The property is beautiful with a lovely vista overlooking the leaf changing vineyard. The main road was a bit busy and not conducive to walks but noise was not too bad. The management company was very communicative. Would recommend to others.

Awesome Views

We stayed in the house for our trip to Sonoma and Napa Valleys. It was a great place to rest and prepare for the next day. We will plan to stay here the next time we are headed to wine country!! The sheep were an added bonus!

Birthday Wine Getaway

We booked this house to get us close to the wineries to celebrate big milestone birthdays in our family. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and we were able to cook a couple of the nights we were there without a problem. The game room/loft area was perfect for a relaxing evening watching playoff baseball and enjoying family time. The only negative we have was that both thermostats were locked at a certain temperature and when we inquired how to change them, we never got a response back. It was a bit cold downstairs after the sun went down and temps dropped into the 40s. Overall, it felt like a trip to our aunts house, not to a rental property. We are so thankful to have had this space to celebrate in!

Great Home

The home was clean, comfortable, well stocked and in a great location. Our only complainant was with the management company. The day we got there the up stairs toilet was turn off. When we turned it on it just ran and would not fill up. We called that night and were told someone would be out to fix it the next day. No one came out. We called again and were told to jiggle the handle ?. Day four we were told that a plumber had been called and had fixed it but no one had come to the house and the toilet was still broken. Finely one of the people staying up stairs got tired of needing to go down stairs to use the rest room at night found a way to do a temporary fix. We did have two other minor issues besides the toilet that were corrected quickly. Not sure what the deal was with getting the toilet repaired. We will not be renting a home under this management company again

Great House/Home in Alexander Valley

The house is just north of Healdsburg in Alexander Valley. It is 3 bedrooms. The two upstairs bedrooms are on the smaller end in terms of size but they are nice. Downstairs there is a LR, dining room, den and primary bedroom. The ceilings are tall and the kitchen is great! All the cooking utensils you will need and spices. The property is surrounded by vineyards. There is a hot tub and a koi pond in the backyard. The road in front in somewhat trafficked during the day but its quiet at night. There is a pool and TV room over the garage which everyone enjoyed. Would definitely stay there again.

Very Comfortable Home

This was the perfect home for our long weekend with our daughter, son in-law and 9 month old granddaughter. The location was perfect for the wineries we visited. The house has everything you need. The kitchen was so well stocked I thought I was in my own kitchen. Every utensil, dish, pan, spice, ziplock bags, etc that we needed was there. We cooked all our meals in. The yard and setting is beautiful with views of the mountains and vineyards. We enjoyed the pool table and watched the football games in the game room. Our granddaughter enjoyed visiting the sheep. I will mention that the upstairs bedrooms are on the smaller side and close together. I would recommend this home and rent it again.

What a Wonderful House

When we rented this house we knew from the pictures it looked nice but it was even better in person. This house was perfect. My favorite part was sitting on the deck in the morning and evenings looking at the vineyard. My kids especially enjoyed the sheep on the property and made sure to talk to them everyday. The inside of the house was perfect, plenty of space for 5 people and the kitchen was amazing. It was so well stocked and had everything we needed. Did I mention the great location. We were surrounded by wonderful wineries.....including the one down the street that they supplied the grapes for and only minutes from downtown. I am so glad we stayed here for our first visit to Healdsburg and am hoping we will be back one day.

Fantastic Healdsburg location

We have a wonderful 3 nights at this fabulous property. So private yet close to downtown Healdsburg. Relaxing on the patio and in the hot tub looking at the vineyard and hills was breathtaking. It was the time out we needed as a family after a very busy Spring. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook or BBQ. The only thing we forgot about was the flies! Left the door open and we had several flies in the house- our bad. The only thing I would say is that the house was freezing when we arrived and the air system was locked not allowing us to warm it up. The upstairs especially was cold. But day 2&3 it got hot outside so it was much better inside. Guessing it was just the timing of our arrival and the weather. And also be prepared for the very hard mattresses. My old body didn’t sleep well on the master bed even with 2 pillows. Shoulder and hip hurt. My college kids said upstairs beds hard as well. Regardless, I would definitely stay there again! So peaceful and really the perfect location. Next time I need to find some trails to walk. No info binder in the house that we could find with area info, restaurant recommendations, etc.

Great house!

My wife and I rented the house for us, our two adult children and their Plus Ones. The house as well as the grounds are beautiful. The house worked out much better for 3 couples as opposed to 3 hotel rooms. The ability to lounge around, shoot pool, take a soak in the hot tub or walk the 10 acres of vineyards after a hard day of wind tasting worked out great. We will check for availability of this house on our next visit.

Wine tour

This is a lovely home located a mile from 101 and 3 miles north of Healdsburg. The house borders a Silver Oak vineyard with mountain views. It is simply lovely and has the best equipped kitchen we have ever seen. Very comfortable, quiet and clean.

Better than expected!

The property was really well kept and even more beautiful than the photos. The view of the hills and vineyards from the back patio is stunning! The lot is very large and there are no neighbors close by. The property feels very private and the road is shielded from view by lovely trees and bushes. There is also a gate with a keypad for entry, which made us feel secure. The kitchen is also extremely well equipped and even had spices, oils, and vinegars. Five stars!
